Music that Describes Christopher
Christopher Munoz was nominated by his colleague, Noel Depeppe.
"I've never known an educator who literally works seven days a week and until 9 or 10 at night," said Depeppe. "It's surely not a typical educator's schedule."
To begin, Mr. Munoz is an educator whom all the kids love! He's the emcee of the graduation every year. He brings excellence to the district and to his AP (Advanced Placement) African American Studies class, which has the best global scores and is ranked highest in the country. He runs every activity, from trips to educational experiences. He works crowd control at sporting events all weekend.
Mr. Munoz wakes up early on Saturdays to run pancake fundraisers and car washes. On Sundays, he walks for various causes and participates in blood drives. In addition, he's the teacher union vice president and a member of the Board of Directors of the PAL (Police Activities League) in his home city. He was the Vice-President of his city's school board.
Mr. Munoz attends school board meetings and is involved in the community. They set up a field of flags for veterans, raise flags and hold ceremonies to raise awareness, and decorate trees to increase visibility. Mr. Munoz does so much for the community.
