I’ve had the privilege of seeing firsthand the kind of impact Coach Galvan makes, and it’s impossible to overstate how deserving he is of this recognition. David doesn’t just teach adapted physical education, through his work he changes lives. His patience, kindness, and genuine ability to connect with every student he works with sets him apart. He meets kids exactly where they are, makes them feel seen and capable, and builds their confidence in ways that extend far beyond the gym. The creativity and care he puts into activities isn’t about checking a box for inclusion, it’s about giving every child dignity, independence, and joy. Families trust him, students light up around him, and his influence lasts long after the class period ends. David Galvan is the definition of a life changer.
