Although she serves as a Special Education teacher, her support extends to every student and staff member on campus, whether or not they receive special education services. She is always ready to step in, redirect, guide, and uplift any child who needs help. Her presence is felt across the entire school because she consistently puts students first. She plays a key role in shaping a positive school atmosphere. Whether she is assisting with behavior support, helping teachers problem-solve, or simply offering a reassuring word to a student in crisis, she brings calm, compassion, and structure wherever she goes. Her ability to build relationships is unmatched; she truly knows every student and family who walks through our doors. Her leadership is evident daily.
In addition to teaching her own class and working closely with her instructional assistant, she also leads the extracurricular STEM program, manages administrative responsibilities, and supports enrollment processes for the campus. She balances all of these roles with professionalism, efficiency, and grace, never compromising the quality of care she provides to her students. She consistently performs at an exceptional level and sets a high standard for dedication, ethics, and professionalism. Her nurturing, student-centered approach creates a safe, welcoming, and encouraging environment for all learners. Aaristion Dawson is a very good person and life changer because when I was in 3rd grade I joined robotics and she took me out to fast foods, took me on field trips,and even get me stuff for my birthday. A. Dawson was my second mom and somtimes treats me better than how my mom does.

I had the opportunity to meet Aariston Dawson at an Equity Influencer event during my time as an educator for the Dallas Independent School District. Her school was part of my feeder pattern, so many of her students eventually became mine. Before ever meeting her, I already knew her name, students frequently spoke about the impact she had on their lives.
Being an educator is demanding on its own, yet she consistently goes a step further by serving as the facilitator of her campus STEM Club. This extracurricular program expands on classroom instruction, strengthens CTE connections, and exposes scholars to career paths they may have never otherwise discovered.
Outside of work, she continues to serve the community through volunteer efforts and partnerships with nonprofit organizations.
