Ralph Chiariello was nominated by a student.

"Mr. Chiariello is one of the best teachers I have had. I really like it when he makes his dad jokes. Whenever I need help, he is always there for me. Sometimes, he explains things to me in a funny way, which I like. I used to get frustrated while doing math, but he makes me feel more comfortable with it, even if he just explains the lesson a little bit," said the student.

"He has also inspired me to try harder with math, and even though I still fail sometimes, he makes me want to keep trying. He also makes me excited to go to math in the 7th period because he makes it more fun. During one lesson, he spun the wheel to see if we could get most of the answers right at exponents to get a free day," said the student.

"Even though I get swamped after school and still have homework from him, I am glad that he gives us homework. It really helps me understand the concept we are learning and overcome many of the challenges I have in math. I also like that he lists positives and negatives because, at the end of the quarter, he recognizes the person with the most positives as awesome, and I love it. He is also so busy with all he does: on top of teaching digital media and math 7, he is the yearbook advisor, head coach of flag football, and assistant coach for boys basketball! Yet, he always has time to help all his students," said the student.
