Wayne Jensen was nominated by Mike Kendall, the parent of a student.
"Mr. Jensen made such a profound impact on my son," said Kendall. "My son is extremely smart, but does not like to sit still and focus for long periods of time. Other teachers have struggled with him, and that led to him having a negative outlook on school, but Mr. Jensen changed that. Mr. Jensen was patient, caring, and loving, and he used his problem solving skills and passion for teaching to help my son succeed in third grade. When my son was in fourth grade, Mr. Jensen would check in on him and meet with his 4th grade teacher to let her know what he did with my son and how it worked. Mr. Jensen is committed to my son's success, as well as the success of his other students. He is a member of the local community and truly cares about the people he serves, parents included."
"Becuase of Mr. Jensen's positive impact, my son has more confidence, enjoys school more than ever, and even wants to be a teacher when he grows up. Mr. Jensen is a LifeChanger because of his positive impact on his students and the community," said Kendall.
