Adrienne Brown was nominated by a colleague, Mariana Solis.
Ms. Brown has demonstrated through her lessons to be an amazing educator. She is able to access students’ prior knowledge so she can introduce new material by using real world situations. In addition to making the content fun and accessible, Ms. Brown has created a classroom environment of learning and respect. She listens to the students’ needs and adjusts to help all students succeed.
Ms. Brown is friendly, approachable, and a team player. She is willing to help and cooperate with anyone who is in need. At the same time, if she needs help, she will ask and work together to resolve a problem.
Ms. Brown is also part of Teach for America and is currently working on her National Board Certification.
