Patrice Whitten was nominated anonymously. 

In February 2024, during an incident on campus, Mrs. Whitten took action to ensure the safety of others. Her calm demeanor, quick judgment, and commitment to protecting students and staff led her to contain the student in a single room, where she kept him calm and engaged until law enforcement arrived. Had Mrs. Whitten not acted swiftly and effectively, the situation could have escalated with potentially tragic consequences. Her actions prevented further movement of the student and reduced the risk of harm to students, staff, and teachers on campus. As a result of Mrs. Whitten’s actions, the incident was resolved without injury, and all personnel were able to return home safely. Her leadership under pressure and unwavering dedication to the safety of others exemplify the highest standards of professionalism and care. In addition, under her leadership, her campus excelled in academic standards, going from a C rating to achieving an A rating.
