Mrs. Curci exemplifies what it means to be a LifeChanger. A true, outstanding professional in every sense of the word, she displays all of the award characteristics daily. All of her students recognize her commitment to them in all aspects of their lives. Below are a few thoughts shared by students:

Going above and beyond all of the time, her impact is visible daily in her work ethic, nurturing personality, and dedication to educating her students and caring for their well-being. Students and their families trust Mrs. Curci because she ensures they receive many types of assistance as needed, including but not limited to, an ear to listen, professional guidance in the community, avenues for financial help, career guidance, and post-secondary schooling and guidance.

I cannot think of someone more deserving of this award than Mrs. Curci! No matter where you look, you will not find a harder working, more caring person in the world. Constantly under an extremely heavy workload, Mrs. Curci handles the stress of it all with a smile on her face, always putting the best interest of her students first. Whether it's preparing for state testing, checking in on struggling students, or organizing meetings to get students the support they need, Mrs. Curci handles herself in a professional, personable, and effective manner. I've had the opportunity to work in a couple different school districts, and the work she does on a daily basis is impressive, and in my opinion, unmatched by anyone else in her position. So proud to be able to say that I've had the opportunity to work with Mrs. Curci, a true life-changer!
There is noone more deserving of this award than Kristin Curci. Her ability to put people at ease, her compassion for others, and her empathetic nature make her not only an amazing guidance counselor but also a very special person. Her commitment to the students in our building and to our staff is unparalleled. We all hope to make a difference in some way throughout our lives—I would argue that Mrs. Kristin Curci changes lives every day. Please consider her for this special honor.
Mrs. Curci has been a huge help ever since I came to Homer Center. I moved here in 7th grade (2013-2014) after losing my father and it seemed like everyday she'd be checking in on me making sure I was handling the situation okay and to make sure I was making around the school okay. Now being in my senior year I have found that talking to Mrs. Curci has changed my views positively in a various number of ways. She thankfully got me into the counseling I needed. I am beyond grateful for this! No matter what, she will be the Life Changer of my life!
She is able to understand the problems of everyone that comes to her for help and is able to help them solve those problems in the best way. She also works to help students in their school work and with things in and out of school including sports, home stuff, trips, and anything else.
Mrs.Curci is simply amazing! She has helped me and several other students with hard times.She is a person that I can anything and never have to worry. She always has a big smile and is such a kid person.Thank you Mrs.Curci, for always being there.
Mrs. Curci knows her students so well that she can tell when someone is troubled about something. And by saying "how's it going today?" to those students, I believe, she provides the intervention needed before something goes from bad to worse. I am always impressed with her positive attitude given the multitude of student issues that she deals with on a daily basis. No matter how big or small the issue Mrs. Curci takes the time to answer every question and request for information. This woman coordinates all of the standardized testing, plus senior scholarship and college applications, plus student mental health issues, plus any number of possible complex family situations that cross her desk. Staying positive through it all and offering a kind word to students, staff, and teachers whenever she sees them, Mrs Curci is definitely a Life Changer at Homer Center!
Mrs. Curci is one of the biggest life changers here at Homer-Center. She is very passionate about helping students whenever they need it. She has helped me through some tough times and decisions, and without her knowledge and help, I don't think I would be where I am today. She is focused on you when you are with her, and takes your thoughts and feelings into consideration. She truly makes an impact at Homer-Center!

We are fortunate to have the honor to work with Mrs. Curci. She is an exemplary model of a caring, thoughtful, educator. Our students and staff are better off due to the fortune of Mrs. Curci working for this school district. After viewing and observing her work ethic, as well as her caring attitude and professional decorum, I realize that we have a unique individual who is worthy of any additional recognition. All nominees are valued, and I believe - after 41 years in the field of education and multiple work locations/assignments - Mrs. Curci is in rare company as a counselor - we believe in our hearts that she is truly a 'Life Changer'.
Kristin is a life saver...and I don't say that lightly. She is a friend, a co-worker, and a counselor to so many, me included. I'm dealing with a situation right now that if it wasn't for her I would not be able to get through. I tell her frequently that I don't know how she does what she does every day. She is truly a blessing to Homer-Center School District. There is no one more deserving of this honor than her.
We are so very fortunate to have Mrs. Curci, who is such an extremely capable, understanding and caring professional in our organization. She makes Homer-Center a better place for students and staff. She handles challenges with grace and professionalism and is an exemplary model of a highly effective, caring counselor in a time when student needs are more of a concern now than in previous years. We are fortunate to work with Mrs. Curci and she operates in a structure of total appropriateness and is an important component of our 'Team of Teams'.
Kristen is a friend of mine, but also a colleague and mentor. She is one of the kindest and most generous people I know. Her compassion for students is sincere and infinite. Kristen is always positive and sees the best in all people and in any situation. She makes the people around her feel good and she inspires me to be a better person. She is always willing to go above and beyond to help those in need, is a great listener, and always able to help people generate positive solutions to difficult situations. Every student and person who has had the opportunity to have Kristen in their life is better for it. I can't imagine anyone who is more worthy of this award.
Kristin has a heart of gold and shares every ounce of it with the students in the Homer-Center district. Her compassion and dedication provide students with care and support in their path to success following their time in high school. I am proud to consider Kristin a college and friend.

I have had the honor to work closely with Kristin for 11 years, serving as he counter part in the counseling field. Kristin is a stellar human being, counselor and professional. You will not find anyone better. Her selflessness is top notch and her commitment to education and student needs supersedes 100%. She is very the best!!!
She is a wonderful, caring person who helped my son immensely. She goes above and beyond to help the students. She is someone the students can call their friend. This is why she is a LifeChanger for everyone she comes in contact with at Homer Center.
Whoever created this award must have had Kristin Curci in mind when doing so. She exemplifies the qualities that we all desire in a school counselor, role model, peer & friend! Always with a smile on her face, bounce in her step & a twinkle in her eyes, you know that Kristin is 100% focused on YOU when you are with her. Regardless of the many directions in which she is pulled, Kristin consistently makes you feel that you are the center of her attention. A beautiful woman, professionally & personally, we are blessed to know her.
Mrs. Curci is one of the most dedicated individuals that I have ever had the opportunity to work with. She spends countless hours working to address the many needs of the students within our districts. She is selfless when it comes to giving of her time, patience, and positive attitude. This extends not only to students but also to their families, school staff and all that she comes into contact with.
Mrs Curci, to me is a friend you can trust and knows how to help deal with any problem there is. As a former graduate from Homer, I have hand on experience with them. My girlfriend Kenny was different, in the form of a kathoey from Thailand. I was hurting inside, not eating, couldn't say a word because I was hiding a secret. I went to Curci, and the help from someone with that sense of spirit, got me through that hard time. I am thankful to had them as my counselor for my years in the district.
Kristin Curci is one of the most compassionate people I have ever met. Always pleasant and always willing to help in anyway she can to make sure a student succeeds. Also very sincere and so kind and loving. I am so thankful to her in our lives. She is most deserving of such an award. She is a remarkable human being and we love her. You not ask for a better Guidance Counselor.
