Tammy Pirtle was nominated by a colleague who wishes to remain anonymous.
Ms. Pirtle founded a ministry with her 7-year-old son, Charlie, to help less fortunate children in the city of Murfreesboro. With his mother's guidance, Charlie used his Christmas money to buy glasses for classmates who couldn’t afford them. The Pirtles worked long hours over the last four months and delivered boxes of food to 50 families each week. Additionally, they partnered with River Oaks Community Church to help more than 150 families with back to school supplies.
