Doreen Schneider was nominated by her principal, Clark Olstad.
Ms. Schneider is a caring, hard-working paraprofessional. Many school personnel have commented that she is a “gift” to have around because she is always so helpful and positive.
“Ms. Schneider is one of the hardest working individuals I have ever had the privilege of working with. She comes to work every day with one goal in mind; to improve someone else's day,” Olstad said.
One of Ms. Schneider's greatest strengths is her ability to supervise large groups of students while maintaining order, safety, and a positive atmosphere. This can be a very challenging and difficult job, but Ms. Schneider makes it look easy. When Ms. Schneider completes one task, she immediately moves on to the next one, and even askes others if they could use her assistance.
Mr. Olstad recalled a quote from Thomas Edison that reminds him of Ms. Schneider. “The three great essentials to achieve anything worthwhile are, first, hard work; second, stick-to-itiveness; third, common sense.”
“Ms. Schneider always works hard, has the best "stick-to-itiveness" I have ever witnessed and has a great deal of common sense when working with students and staff at school,” Olstad said. “She is a LifeChanger in many ways within her school and the entire community. Ms. Schneider is a one of a kind person with a great work ethic and strong desire to always help other people have a great day!”
