Trameisha Greer was nominated by her principal, Courtney Marshall.
"Ms. Greer is, without question, one of the most phenomenal teachers I have had the pleasure to serve in my 15 years as an educator," said Marshall. "I am consistently impressed with Ms. Greer's energy, enthusiasm, organization, and passion as a teacher. Her style and technique in working with Kindergarten children is comparable to none."
Ms. Greer is knowledgeable, creative, innovative, bright, and unique when it comes to her love for educating children. She goes above and beyond to build community and engagement within her classroom, and works tirelessly to ensure that all students feel loved, valued, and are learning. Each year, students with autism who are in her school's REACH program are intentionally placed in her classroom because of her ability to include them in the learning experience with a high level of success. It is her passion, patience, love, and overall commitment to her students that fosters this learning environment where all students thrive!
She has been masterful in her efforts to help students grow academically, emotionally, and socially. Students are not only learning in her classroom - they are also having fun and developing a love for school at an early age. She starts and finishes each and every day with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The energy in her classroom is something that has to be seen to be believed.
Ms. Greer is willing to take risks. She facilitates, encourages, motivates, and models high expectations for her students. The students in her class experience success because she accepts nothing less than their best.
She serves as a role model for teachers all over the district, who come to observe her to improve their own craft as a teacher. Visitors leave gleaming about her instruction, energy, and interactions with her students. On campus, she serves as the team leader, as well as a lead instructional teacher. She successfully leads team planning sessions and supports the needs of all members of her team. Ms. Greer served as Teacher of the Year for the 2017-2018 school year and did a phenomenal job representing her campus and district.

I've had the pleasure of working with Trameisha Greer for over 13 years. During my years working with her, I observed and admired her ability to build second language acquisition skills in the students at Collins Elementary. Trameisha has the distinction of having led multiple district level professional development sessions. I've seen Trameisha grow into a confident, knowledgeable, master teacher.

Ms. Greer is a well rounded woman and teacher. I met her over 10 years ago and she has been soaring as an educator on all levels. She has been the teacher of the year and holds the role of a team leader at Collins Elementary. She is a woman of integrity and leads by example. She operates out of excellence and it shows in and out the classroom. She takes the ESL program to a different level. All her students excels in her class and she have them ready for the next grade level. Even when the students are long gone to different grade levels their parents always come back to visit Ms. Greer thanking her on how she helped their children and the foundation started with her. She is definitely deservant of the lifechanger award!!!!!!

Couldn’t have had a better person to be nominated for this award! Ms. Greer constantly strives for success and is always there for her students making sure she builds quality relationships. Ms. Greer is the high bar we are all held to. Her excellence in teaching and caring for her students is a true sight to be seen and she is absolutely the reason why our Kindergarten team is so strong g. She is so willing to help not only her students but also her colleagues. She really takes the time to look up and search for new/fresh ideas to creat an engaging learning environment for her students. When I think of the word Dedicated and what it means to me a few things come to mind. Someone that’s hard working; preparing for a upcoming class or school yr and staying late taking work home once’s it’s over. Loving; taking pride of what they do not only for the money but for the enjoyment of giving back and inspiring others. Caring; taking the time to give attention to those who need it most without neglecting others and their feelings. Motivated; unstoppable constantly looking for the next idea and new way of getting through. Looking for new ways to better themselves. Since the first day we met she has always came with a smile it’s seems like she always talking about her babies and the great things they have learned and also in their own way has reached her. I have known Trameisha her entire life. I has watched her grow academically with great enthusiasm. She speaks of all the great things that she learns from her students which allow her to become a better instructor. Trameisha believes in improving herself through higher education in order to provide her students a wealth of learning. She is extremely motivated and gives more than 100% at all times. The fact that she is able to work with the children with special needs ( Autism) speaks volumes about who she is. Those of us who know her, know that she has made her grandmother (JohnnieMae) smile down from heaven.

Pedagogy is the art of teaching children. It is also synonymous with Miss Greer when you look up the definition for a phenomenal teacher. The word pedagogy itself has a distinct meaning about creating an educational process that will lead to knowledge transfer to a new learner. It is a process that Miss Greer utilizes to create for her students so that they can take a task/subject matter which he/she are trying to learn and gain knowledge to apply to everyday life. She creates an environment to allow her students to search within themselves to tap into their creativity. Her classroom is inviting, positive, and filled with love. She plays a major role in their lives while in the classroom. As a past recipient for Teacher of the Year award, Trameisha understands her role of having first dibs on a child. This is one of many reasons why she makes them believe that individuality of making a difference of becoming a productive member of society.
