Brad Watkins was nominated by an anonymous student.

"Mr. Watkins is the best teacher I have ever had, hands-down," said his nominator. "He doesn't teach to the tests, but to the students. He provides us with real-life experience we may need one day, and he also teaches us how to learn and think for ourselves. Mr. Watkins cares about his students wholeheartedly and refuses to give up on anyone. He expects us to try our best and work together to get things done. He also has us think for ourselves instead of telling us what to think or do."

"Every day, Mr. Watkins walks into class ready to give us his knowledge and help us become better citizens in our community," the nominator continued. "He not only instills real-life skills and experiences in his students, but in those who participate in our school's FFA club. Mr. Watkins has done an impeccable job at ensuring his students are ready to face the world outside of high school and that they will succeed in their careers. Mr.Watkins has made me believe that I can do anything I set my mind to if I try and work hard enough. I have gained the confidence to decide and join the U.S. military. I thank Mr. Watkins for believing in me every step of the way. This is why I believe Mr. Watkins deserves to win the LifeChanger of the Year award."
