LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Taura Holmes was nominated by an anonymous colleague.

Mrs. Holmes is a child-whisperer. She greets her students at her classroom door each day with a custom handshake and a loving smile.  She is the English Language Arts teacher for 60 students in her school's second grade Spanish dual immersion program. While it could be challenging for many educators to build relationships with that many students, she does so while also ensuring that all of her students are learning at high levels. Mrs. Holmes takes the time to get to know each student in her class, and she supports each child with what they need to be successful in their learning.
