Support Tim Leave a comment

Tim Outlaw was nominated by his colleague, Susan LaPointe.

The first thing Mr. Outlaw says to every new student is, "I will keep you safe, and I will give you the best education I can." Safety is his number one concern. It was Mr. Outlaw who suggested changing the classroom doors from doors with windows, to heavy duty doors that cannot be breached. Additionally, Mr. Outlaw has overseen changing the exterior doors from doors that can be unlocked throughout the day, to doors with remote access to restrict the flow and possibility of strangers coming into the building. These two things, along with him having his finger on the pulse of the school, keep his students safe.

Coach Outlaw is the best principal i’ve ever had!! He always makes sure he speaks to everyone, whether it’s telling them “Goodmorning” or just asking them how their day has been! I’ve known him for a long time so we always joke around with each other!! No one could ever replace a principal like him!! He truly is a life changer!

I have known Tim Outlaw a very long time. I have gotten to know him better working side by side with him over the past several years. He is definitly one of the most selfless people I know but will not take any recognition for actions of helping others. He does it because he wants to and he cares. He always puts his students and staff before himself and would do anything for them and truly cares about them. He makes sure everyone feel safes. He goes above and beyond more than most people I know. This recognition is most definelty deserved!

During my twenty years in education I have worked for many different principals and I can honestly say that Tim Outlaw is above and beyond the best. From day one he made me feel at home and a part of a wonderful school district. He shows everyday that he cares for not only his students but also every employee that works at the school. Tim pushes all of us to be the best we can be. As a mother I am so thankful that my children also know what it's like to have a principal who truley cares about them and wants the best for them.

Coach Outlaw is a great person who has the personality that reflects that as well!! He is always making sure that each student feels safe and know that they are capable of achieving great things. But most of he cares for not only his students, staff, but the community as well. Outlaw is the shining beacon of how great leadership should be...

Ashley Smith Posted over a year ago

I love Coach Outlaw, he´s always trying to make the students succeed and always trying to boost spirits of the students that are feeling down. Every time i see coach Outlaw in the hallway he gives me a fist bump or a high five. He is always outside every morning telling everyone that walks into the school ¨Good morning¨ and when school lets out he always says ¨have a nice day¨ I don´t know what Hamburg would do without him.

Our principal deserves this amazing award. He does so much for our school.

Brittney Harrod Posted over a year ago

Mr. Tim Outlaw deserves this 100%. I have never seen a principal more caring that this guy. He talks to everyone of the students at Hamburg High, he checks on his staff daily, and does anything to help anyone out. Not only does he do all of this for the High School but our district doesn't have enough bus drivers, so he drives a bus after school everyday along with the duties of a principal. He is a very busy man who never complains and puts everyone else first. He has been amazing to work under and I could not do my job successfully without his support and continuous love and care for Hamburg High School.

Destiny McGilton Posted over a year ago

I had the pleasure to work with Tim for a few years. Mr. Outlaw is the biggest cheerleader our high school has! He encourages each and every student to do their best. He goes above and beyond to help any student and is at almost every sports event to cheer on his students!

Tim Outlaw is a class act!. This award, when it happens, will go to a well-deserving man. My experience with Tim, up close and personal, was when my best friend and housemate, was taken to the hospital from school. He made it to the hospital before I did. He was so concerned that the beat the ambulance to the hospital. I heard his booming voice from down the hall, long before the nursing staff had realized that he was taking over. (Not for other patients, just for my roommate. )They made him wait because she was without pants, and she didn't want to expose herself. He finally came in the room and said, "Susan! I had to come here and make sure that you're alright. I needed to see you." Then the chief of staff came over--a man that Tim knew, (of course Tim knew him--What was I thinking?!) He introduced me to the chief of staff and my housemate was given all of the amenities that they had there at the hospital. Later on, when I got my friend home, he called again to make sure she was okay. Tim Outlaw welcomes me every time I act as a speaker for the Oral Communications class. He always smiles like we are the best of friends. There are many people that Tim doesn't know, but he just thinks of them as friends he hasn't met yet. He honestly changes life by just living the life he lives. Kind and gentle, but willing to kick butt and take names if necessary. Fortunately, it isn't necessary often.

Allen Jeter Posted over a year ago

As a former coach of Tim I have watched him grow from a young man to a man. Tim has always had great character and leadership qualities. The education field was fortunate when he decided to go in that direction!!! First as a coach and now as a principal. Tim has all the qualities you look for in a leader !!! He is a compassionate caring individual who wants the best for each and ever student!!! They don’t come any better than Mr. Outlaw!!!

Me Outlaw has been not just a boss but an amazing co-worker. I remember how kind he was to me when I was pregnant and had an episode with heart needing to go to the ER. He made sure I was able to get there safely. He is amazing with our students and works to have a good relationship with each one. Every morning you can count on Mr Outlaw to greet you with a “Good morning, and keeping us safe is his main concern.

Lela Williams Posted over a year ago

Every single day, no matter what the circumstances, Mr. Tim Outlaw always had a smile on his face. It truly helped me, as well as others, get through the day. Most know being a principal is a more difficult job to take on, so all the more respect for him for always being positive in so many ways. I'm very thankful to have been able to attend high school while he was principal. I know for a fact, I wouldn't have felt as safe as I did if it was any different. It's very apparent one of 'Coach' Outlaw's main concerns is the safety of each and every one of his students the most. To say he is a life changer would be an understatement.

Emmaly J Desonier Posted over a year ago

Every school morning Mr.Outlaw (aka coach Outlaw) goes out of his way to greet everyone on their way into school. He takes the time to hold conversations with every student and employee. Mr.Outlaw listens to the student body and takes our opinions into hand and does everything he can for us to have a great school year. Also, Mr.Outlaw pays attention to his students and staff. He checks on us, making sure we are doing our best in school and if we are having a good day or not. Mr.Outlaw listens to his students, and believes in us. As he always says, "I will put Hamburg High School up against any other school, today, tomorrow, and next year". Mr.Tim Outlaw is the best principle any student or school could wish for!

I am a junior at Hamburg High School, And when it come to Mr.Outlaw and his job at Hamburg High School he is the best, hardworking, and dedicated man ever. I am very appreciative for a Principal like him. He is determined that every single last one of us here, is going to walk out of this high school with our education. He always does what is best for this school, and what is good for us as students here. Another thing, he listens to us students to make sure that we are pleased while we are here at the school. And if he doesn't see it as fit for the school towards our education, then it's not going; which is why I love him as a Principal cause he's going to make sure that he's doing his job for us as students. And he always keeps us motivated and pushes us when it is needed, even if we as students don't want to do it he's determined to make us get it done.

No matter what, Coach Outlaw makes a point to speak with every student daily, which proves how much he cares for our community, our school, and for all of us who attend HHS. Well deserved nomination, Tim Outlaw. Congratulations for this but I know what means the most to you are those who have responded and will respond. All of this will just confirm the influence you have on others. I have known Tim for close to 18 years now. I have taught with him, coached at the same time as him, been an administrator with him, and hunted and fished with him. He has a love for people and you see this anytime you are around him. No matter where he goes others draw to him. Everywhere he goes others know him. For me personally he is one of those people that has come into my life that you know that something is special about him. Tim takes time for others. When he talks to students, teachers, the mechanic, a bus driver, parent, he is engaged and listening. He genuinely wants to know how that person is doing. All students and teachers know that he wants them to be sucessfully. What sets him apart he is a person that makes others around him better. Tim makes you feel special. That you can be successfully. As a principal he oftem has to deal with others that the consequences he is going to have to give them are at times not going to be good. In these instances also he still wants that person to be able to overcome and grow from the consequences. He wants to be "life changer" no matter the circumstances. Hamburg High School, Hamburg School District, my life is better because of Tim Outlaw. I would say that is what a "life changer" is.

Kim Pounds Posted over a year ago

I will forever be grateful for attending Hamburg High School and graduating and having such a caring Principal such as Tim Outlaw.

I can't think of anyone else in the world who deserves this award more. Thank you Mr. Outlaw for all you do.????

Mr. Outlaw is very respected and well liked in our community. As a parent of one of his students, he not only makes me feel comfortable by having my child in his school but my child admires him and feels safe. He makes sure that our students get every available opportunity to advance in life. He has allowed some of our boys to be involved in a welding class that will give them the opportunity to provide for their families long after high school and these boys and parents know they can go to him for any thing and he will treat them as if they were his own. Mr. Outlaw well deserves this award and many more. Our school and community is lucky to have him.

Tim Outlaw, When I think of Mr. Outlaw aka Coach Outlaw as everyone knows him. I think of a man passionate, driven to be the best human being he can be to everyone he knows. His influence on people means everything to him. A reflection of who he has been for the twelve years I've known him. An honorable, well respected man that wants the best for everyone. I have many fond memories of him as a coach. He was a great teacher in my high school years. If you ever wanted advice, he would carefully access your situation and whole heartedly give you love and advice a father would. As my coach for two years of high school football. I remember him looking at me one day lifting weights. He said son, if you stick with this you will be great. He would get so highly bent out of shape when people doubted their self. He was never demanding but truly wants the best for everyone and the potential they show. I was a kid that didn't see in myself as others did me. Coach would give you this talk that would make you want to believe in yourself. I can honestly say I've never heard one person speak badly about him. The true definition of a mentor. A man if you ever get to know. Will surly make an impact on you. Respectfully, Adam Bailey

Mr. Outlaw always has a smile on face and coffee in the morning as he walks the halls or outside and always stops to say good morning. Through out the day when you see him he addresses you by name and ask you either how you are doing or how your day is. Through the years my dad worked with him off and on and got to know him personally, he always makes sure to check in on family and see how we are doing. Mr Outlaw has a heart of gold and is always so kind to anyone and everyone. He will go out of his way to make sure everyone is safe, pleased, and well educated. Without Mr Outlaw stepping in and saying we need to change the doors, and making sure it gets done, I don’t think it would have been done. Mr Outlaw has a heart of gold and I am thankful for him!

Coach Outlaw, Tim, TO, Mr. Outlaw are a few names I know him by. Teacher, Coach, Dean, Vice Principal, Principal are a few titles I know he’s held. Life Changer will be well deserved addition. Mr. Outlaw first changed my life as a student at Hamburg High. Even though he coached football, I remember him bringing his daughters to our softball games and cheering us on. That kind of support changes the life of a teenager. Currently, I have the privilege of teaching at Hamburg High. Recently, Mr. Outlaw changed my life by believing in me and offering me a leadership position. While at a huge conference over the summer, just when I began to feel overwhelmed and question myself, he leaned over and told me he chose me for a reason. Mr. Outlaw has this uncanny ability to know when someone needs encouragement. Then, he doesn’t hesitate to advocate and inspire. Mr. Outlaw is the best candidate for the Life Changer of the Year award, hands down.

He has also gave us a better understanding of what life really is and that life is not easy. He has made HHS feel like home in every way possible.

Brooke Hicks Posted over a year ago

Mr. Tim Outlaw has been a part of my life for a very long time. As the father of one of my best friends, Mr. Outlaw has always been a role model to me. As people say, Mr. Outlaw is the same man on Saturday night as he is Sunday morning, and as he came to be on Monday morning when he took the position of our high school principal. Mr. Outlaw became the principal of our high school when I was in my sophomore year, and he changed the way high school was dramatically. Education was pushed forward, and we came to have so many amazing opportunities because of the changes he made. Mr. Outlaw made it so easy for each student to be completely and entirely themselves, and encouraged us in doing what we were passionate about. He was always open to ideas, even though some of our ideas were not acceptable, and was always a listening ear. One of my favorite memories will always be walking into school every day and hearing him speak to every single student and call them by name. Granted, we do have a small high school, but that doesn’t change the fact that him personally addressing us made each student feel special. Mr. Outlaw is a great principal, and no one is more deserving of recognition for that than him.

Mr. Outlaw is a one if a kind human being. Everyday he makes people feel appreciated and valued. It doesn’t matter if you are young or old, current student or former student, rich or poor, he always has time to speak with you and listen to what you have to say. He knows every student’s name, parent’s names, the students background and their life’s successes and not so much successes. Mr. Outlaw believes that every person is important and should be heard and respected. Mr. Outlaw is fair and honest. He goes out of his way to help anybody in need. He has gone to a co-workers house and helped them clean out gutters during a particularly severe rain storm, he has gone down in his own boat to help a student that had been stranded on the river without a way to get back to the boat dock. These are just some of the things Mr. Outlaw has done to prove that he deserves the Life Changer of the Year!

To say that Tim Outlaw is a life changing educator and person only touches the tip of the iceberg. He is both personally and professionally dedicated to every student, parent, teacher and person that he comes in contact with. He truly believes that ALL people are remarkably unique and have a specific contribution to life that can’t be provided by any other person. He instills confidence in others simply by being near them. He inspires others with his infectious positive attitude and he believes in that everyone can achieve their own personal success. If an issue arises, he sees it through with no hesitation. He (and his family) are devoted to making necessary sacrifices for the good of all students. It is truly an honor to work with him.

I have had the great privilege of being coached as well as working alongside Tim Outlaw. Coach Outlaw was tough on us as players. He pushed us to become better athletes as well as better men. He expected no less than our maximum effort, and he lead by example. After every practice he told us he loved us, and we knew he meant it. He was there for us when we had struggles whether they were at school and home. Most of all, we had fun. Years later, I was given the opportunity to work alongside Coach Outlaw. He was the exact same person then as he was when I graduated high school. He always says hello to staff and visitors. He calls the students by name and asks them how they were. There were times we worked very closely together in stressful situations, but he was cool, calm, and collected. He is the kind of educator and principal that you hope your own kids have. He is a great asset to the Hamburg School District. He is a leader. He loves his family, his students, and his community. Coach Outlaw is the kind of man you look up to and hope that one day you will become half the man he is.

Tim is one of the best administrators and friends you'll ever find. He truly cares about the kids and his fellow employees. He's always there to lend a listening ear, kind advice, or good laugh. He doesn't shy away from difficult tasks but meets them head on for the benefit of our schools. He's truly is a Life Changer to everyone who knows him.

Mr. Outlaw is one of the most sincere people you will ever meet. He is an educator that always has his students’ safety, education, and well being as a top priority. If a student is having a bad day, he will talk to them and give them positive words to make their day better. If a student is doing something that is not ideal, whether it be inside or outside of school, he will talk to them. When he talks to his students, he is genuine. He doesn’t do it because he feels like he has to but because he wants to. I personally had a long commute to school and he would always make sure that I knew to stay safe and would stay on me about not speeding or being a distracted driver. Mr. Outlaw was a big blessing to me in high school.

Well two years ago my daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia her senior year of high school. Mr. Outlaw we above and beyond to make sure she was not left out of anything dealing with her senior year since she would be home-bound and miss out on so much. Our lives had changed, and he made sure that her school life stayed normal as much as possible. Mr. Outlaw always helps his students out in any way he can. Any time anything came up that dealt with the senior class he made sure to reach out and let us know. He was always supportive and greeted her as if she had been there the whole day. When she was hospitalized, he came to the hospital to see her. Now my son is a senior and Mr. Outlaw is still the same. He goes above and beyond to make sure the students are greeted, and he talks to each one of them. He always asks everyone how their day is when he greets them. He forms a bond with staff and students like no other. Mr. Outlaw has a heart of gold and I cannot think of a person that deserves this honor more than him.

Mr. Outlaw has really influenced my life, for pretty much my whole life. He's kept me from making wrong decisions, lead me in right paths, and to add to that I don't think I would be the same person I am today without him. He's really good person to every person he meets and he is a very respectable man. He sees that every one of his students and his staff that attend Hamburg High School have potential. He tells all of his students and staff that by saying "I would put all of my staff and students against anyone in Arkansas, that's how much I believe in you." He inspires not only me but everyone around him with the attitude he puts out no matter what is going on. He has shown on many occasions that he is willing to do anything to help his staff and students. I am glad that Mr. Outlaw is in our lives, not only as a principal but as a mentor and a friend.

Mr. Outlaw has been my principal for the last three years of high school. He may seem scary, but he has a heart of gold. He is someone that tries to help out the students as much as he can. A lot of times, you can see him talking and joking to a bunch of the students in the hallway or outside. I believe that he deserves this award more than anyone else I know.

Tim Outlaw is the best supervisor that I have ever had the pleasure of working for. When I do well, he tells me, and when I've screwed up, he is kind and supportive. He treats every student in his care as if they are his own. That is the difference between Outlaw and other administrators--he fosters a feeling of community and professionalism. Every morning, he says "good morning to every student in which he comes in contact. He builds relationships with students and staff in a way that I have never seen. Outlaw is a great role model for all students and staff.

Mr. Outlaw has been my principal throughout three of my high school years. In my opinion, he is by far the best principal Hamburg High School has had in a very long time. When I first met him he seemed a bit intimidating, but after getting to know him I realized that he was everything but intimidating. He can be intimidating when he needs to be, but otherwise he is always up for a good joke and always receives people with a warm smile. Mr. Outlaw is a great candidate for this award because he is one of the most caring people and is always going out of his way for others.

I am a junior of Hamburg High School, Mr. Outlaw has been a big supporter of each and every student including myself. Evertime he see me and I am not smiling he says " Hey put a smile on your face!" He encourages Hamburg High to be the best we can can be and always try our best. He says Goodmorning and greets the students with a smile on his face. Mr. Outlaw has been the most encouring and awesome principle any school could ever have.

Mr. Outlaw has always had a positive outlook for our school. When we have faced hardships like the loss of a student and possible threats, he and the administration have always done their best in making us students feel safe and given us comfort.

Mr. Outlaw is a Life Changer to ever high school student that attends Hamburg High School. He quickly gets to know every student. He personalizes every conversation with his employees and students everyday. He is the best at forming relationships with students and staff of anyone I have seen in 27 years of being in school business. He is a big 6 foot plus tall guy that has a heart of gold. I have seen him take tough situations and work with students and staff to show he truly cares. Through the loss of a student, expulsion hearings, tough staff circumstances and many more obstacles he has faced he has treated people with respect and maintained a high expectation. He is the best high school principal I have seen.
