Ms. Black is a remarkable teacher who has a tremendous impact on the students and families she works with, as well as the staff at her school. Every day, she lets her positive attitude shine through and is an inspiration to all around her. She gets to know each and every student who sits in her classroom and goes above and beyond for everyone around her.
Ms. Black embraces each challenge that arises with an infectious smile, determination, and the positive mindset that anyone can do anything they set their mind to. Ms. Black is such an amazing asset at Barnwell Primary School.

Paige deserves this award because she's the best all around teacher I've ever met. Students love her as well as the parents! She's a loving, kind and motivated educator.
Paige is so sincere in everything she does. She has the smile that will make you happy on a real downer day. She cares so much about her students and teaching them so that all understand. She needs to be cloned and place her clones in all schools. She makes a huge impact on not only her students, but everyone she meets. She is indeed a Life Changer.

Paige Black has been a second Mom to me. I’ve had the great privilege of growing up with her daughter, so I’ve seen her in action throughout my entire life. She has an infectious smile and personality that can brighten the worst of days. I have been blessed enough to work with her as a second grade teacher over the past four years, and have seen the immense impact she has made on students, both in her classroom and throughout the school, and her fellow teachers. She cares deeply for the students as people. She cares about their home lives. She goes to the ball games. She attends extra activities the school holds. She goes above and beyond in every way. I have had the privilege of working across the hall from Paige Black for six years and there is no other teacher who loves and cares about their students more than her. In today’s education system we are constantly bombarded with standards, assessments, lessons and the like. Often there is not much time left for those equally important ‘life skills’. Paige takes the time to not only educate her students, but she teaches them respect, honesty, manners and overall how to be a good and kind person. She reflects on community issues that impact HER students and their families. I here this EVERY DAY! Not only that, but she gets to know her students so well, that she is able to recognize behavior indicative to more personal issues that the student may be dealing with and handle such situations in a very attentive and productive way, often BEFORE interfering with the students learning environment. BSD 45 is beyond lucky to have her and #lifechangeroftheyear would be fortunate to have her among their ranks.
It’s not uncommon to encounter a lot of amazing teachers on our educational journey and we tend to remember them all for different reasons. Some for being the fun, hands on teacher, some for being funny and having a great sense of humor, some for always having high expectations and standards, some who planned and organized engaging lessons, and some that simply just loved you! What is uncommon is to be lucky enough to find that one teacher with ALL those qualities. Paige Black is that teacher! She can be described in so many ways...she is smart, loving, caring, positive, motivated, dedicated and hard working. In fact, the BEST way to describe Paige is to simply say she is a LIFE CHANGER! And if you don’t believe me, just ask any of the hundreds of children, co-workers, family and friends who are lucky enough to know and be loved by her! I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this award!!!

OMG!!! Let me tell you, this is one of the best teachers I know!!! I did my ECD hours with her in high school. She helped me every step of the way. Back then I knew her as Ms. Pender. She taught me many lessons in kindness and patience. She showed me love during a time when I was having teenage drama and didn't always feel loved. She was and still is an awesome friend. No matter where I see her she is always the same. She really deserves this award. I am currently finishing my bachelor's degree in education. While I never had the honor of having Mrs. Black as a teacher, I'm currently teaching one of her sons and work with her daughter. She has helped so many students throughout her time teaching and she always puts her students first no matter what . If you needed someone to talk to , someone to help you out , someone to be a role model , Ms. Black was the one for you . There was never a sad or bad day when your around her , she gets you to talk about what’s going on even when you don’t want to. I have known Paige all of her life. She is amazing and has the largest heart of anyone I know. I have always seen her with a smile on her face for everyone she meets or knows. Paige is a wonderful, compassionate person and I believe she is very deserving of this award.

No one deserves this honor than Paige. She loves each child she teaches as her own and each child knows she loves them. Having a loving role model as a teacher is a special gift to all children.
Aunt P is a great person and is always wanting to help others. Whenever she's out in public, all ages of kids come up and talk to her, they yell "Hey Ms. Black!", their faces light up when they see her and you can tell that they feel so special when she calls them by their name and gives them a big smile and hug!
Mrs. Black taught both of my children. She formed a relationship with each of my kids. I will forever be grateful for her and the way she helped my son with his anxiety about school. She went above and beyond to help him and showed him so much love. She shines the love of Jesus through her work and relationships she forms with each student and parent.
Paige is a amazing person, Christian, sister, mother, teacher and friend.. She has a great attitude and loves what she does. She is a major asset to Barnwell and the kids she teaches. She is one of the most positive people I have ever been around and is definitely most deserving of this great award.

Mrs Black is truly one of the best, most caring teachers ever. She pours love into each child she teaches. My daughter had the pleasure of having Mrs Black in 2nd grade, and she absolutely loved her. I was a mentor at BPS and while I wasn’t assigned to her class I would go in there and she was awesome with her students and made me feel so welcome each time I was in there! Love her so much!

Paige is the most loving, caring, encouraging.....I could go on and on. I've had the honor of knowing Paige for almost 15 years or so and have been blessed for it. If anyone deserves a LifeChanger award, it is definitely her! As a teacher, I cannot even imagine the influence she has on the children but as a coach for a middle school and high school group of crazy girls, she was phenomenal. I love this lady and truly honored to call her my friend!!!!
