LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Laura Bartel was nominated by an anonymous colleague.

Ms. Bartel is the director of special education for one of the largest high schools in the state of Michigan.  She is not only an advocate, but an innovator of special education services in a nontraditional setting.  She works to provide a unique and individualized special education setting for all students while supporting the student service team. Ms. Bartel has the gift of being a supportive administrator, and she continues to support students to achieve the success they may not have achieved in a traditional setting.  She innovates services and supports for special education students and their families. She changes so many lives and leads with the art of motivation and positivity.
