Amanda Cagle was nominated by Brandy Jerrell, a member of the community.

Ms. Cagle pours herself into her students. She is a vital member of South Doyle Middle School, and she is engaged with her students. When a number of students were having behavior problems this school year, Ms. Cagle and her team came up with a daily contract for the students. Every morning, the students meet with her to determine their contract for the day. This allows the students to set a daily goal and have a real time evaluation of their behavior. Then, she becomes the Fairy and delivers treats to students who have kept their contract promises. Ms. Cagle also tries to find ways to acknowledge students who are behaving in a positive way. She focuses on the positive, and in turn, her students know their worth. Ms. Cagle is a LifeChanger!

Amanda has always been a driving force since her birth! She tirelessly tries to excel in all she does. She is and has always been a people person. Education has been a love of hers even as a student. Her passionate personality definitely is what we need more of in our schools today. Amanda is trying to teach her students that life lessons are equally as important as their grades. I feel she is so deserving of this award!
