On June 21, 1968, Leo Vaughns, Jr. was born in Fort Worth, Texas to the parentage of Leo & Vivian Vaughns. He was an only child who attended Morningside Elementary, Morningside Middle School during sixth grade, and Wedgewood Middle School for seventh and eighth grade He graduated from Southwest High School and executed a song tribute to the graduating class. After graduating high school, he attended Tarrant County Junior College, where he received his Associate Art’s degree. Later, he transferred to Texas Christian University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in secondary education, English, reading, and a minor in music.
After graduating from Texas Christian University, Mr. Vaughns attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary for three years. In 1990, he was hired at Kirkpatrick Middle School by Mr. Jorge Mendoza as a reading teacher. Later, he became the choral music teacher (where he rearranged the school fight song). He is currently serving as a English language arts teacher for seventh and eighth grades. While teaching during the day, he was the gospel choir director at Weatherford College for two years, leading the choir to perform throughout the DFW metroplex. On October 6, 2003, he received his certificate of Ministerial Ordination.
After many years of teaching, Mr. Vaughns continued his education, completed a one-year cohort program at Concordia University, and received his Masters of Educational Leadership degree on March 25, 2017 with a GPA of 4.0. At Kirkpatrick Middle School, he has dedicated many years of service, not only in the classroom, but in various areas to enhance That Wildcat Family Spirit. He participates in pep rallies, holiday events, radio programs, Pie Day events, United Way events, community events, sumo wrestling, school spirit events, and the changing of the marquee. He coordinates talent shows and has served as the Wildcat mascot.
Mr. Vaughns advises an after-school production class. This year, they helped with a film entitled Den of Artists, which focused on the importance of seeking an adult when confronted with peer-pressure. This production was filmed at Kirkpatrick, received first place, and will be presented throughout the state of Texas. He is also an active participant in
the English Language Arts curriculum writing. Additionally he has made a series of presentations for fifth grade teachers called Let's Go Fishing, which consisted of full day workshops to motivate teachers and cultivate an atmosphere of learning.
At Kirkpatrick Middle School, Mr. Vaughns tries to illuminate the importance of building relationships with students, colleagues, families, and the community. In 2018, he received the Teaching Chair of Excellence in Secondary Education. On May 23, 2019, the Kirkpatrick Middle School Auditorium was named in his honor.
Outside of his teaching role, Mr. Vaughns serves as a minister of music, associate minister, male chorus president, and vice chairperson of the youth department at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. Throughout his life, he has been blessed to

Mr. Leo Vaughn, Jr., in my humble opinion, is an extraordinarily exceptional young man who has been gifted beyond measure. He's in a class by himself because of his authenticity and he can't be replicated. He has always worked selflessly whenever he has been awarded for any reason because that's who he is...and he loves what he does with or without an award! To receive this award would just be another ?? STAR in his Crown!

Vaughn’s is an amazing teacher, me and my sister both had him and we absolutely loved him. He really listened to a student if they had trouble with anything or if they just needed someone to talk to he was there. Mr. Vaughn’s you rock!

Mr.Vaughns has always been the one teacher I could never forget. No matter what was going on during the school day good or bad he always had a way to make the day even better whether it was his quirky jokes or him just being him he was always there to lighten the mood and always make the world brighter.
Mr. Vaughns is not our teacher, he’s our Pops. He’s the man we go to when we need advice and encouragement. He’s the man that brightens up the entire room when there’s a storm outside. I can’t picture how my years at Kirkpatrick could have possibly gone without being lead by Mr.Vaughns. I had him for honors English and for after school choir. I was shy, but he helped me find myself. My autistic brother then attended Kirkpatrick, and although my brother didn’t have him personally as a teacher, he never hesitated to be there and watch out for my brother. I go back to visit so my son can see him, because he is definitely the type of role model I want my son growing up knowing. We always have some teachers that we love when in school but then lose touch with after we leave, but that’s not how things work with him. Mr. Vaughns always makes it known that we forever have him by our side no matter the circumstances. He truly is a father figure to us all. We love this man for all his hard work and dedication, and I personally could not be more proud of him. Also, I can’t thank him enough for the positivity he always had and continues to shed on my life.
Mr. Vaughans has been a positive influence in the life of my son. His dedication to make a difference in the life of young people is relentless. He shows unconditional passion support even after they've left his classroom. The world could use a few more men like Mr.Leo Vaughns.
Mr.Vaughn's one of the best teachers at Kirkpatrick middle school. Mr. Vaughns was my music teacher in seventh grade many years ago and because of him till this day music is my passion and I thank him for everything he had taught me.

Mr Vaughn's wasn’t my teacher for any of my grade levels but even though he wasn’t my teacher he made a difference in my life he taught me that there is teachers out there that really care for their students and he shows that every day of his career and for the people that have been his former students they always remember Vaughn’s

Mr.Vaughns was a great teacher. not only would you see him as one, but at KMS, everyone recognized him as “ pops” he always has a big smile through good and bad days. Mr. Vaughns my music teacher 6-8 grade best teacher I could ever ask for not only would he make class fun but pep rally’s foot ball basketball games u name it had the whole school rocking with him I remember when we came up with this weird play where he acted like a guy who hunted the school I bealive he called him mr. Leo is my uncle and was the Minister of Music at the church I grew up in. This man literally was one of the vehicles through which I found God. He taught me piano, he taught me how to drive, he taught me to sing and helped me understand the role of music in ministry, and religious service and foreshadowed the role music would play in my life as I’m now a professional musician living abroad in Puerto Rico.
I can’t say enough about the energy and impact Uncle Leo has invested in my life as a student and can not thank him enough. He deserves all the flowers and is exactly what’s right about FWISD. Much love to all and love and Godspeed to you Leo Vaughns!!!

I will never forget vaughns! i had him for 8th grade and i still remember the songs he taught us, the stories he told, and that ENERGY that you can feel walking into that mans room. got my hype to go to school everyday
Vaughns is the man of the day, everyday. He’s the type of guy to shield his students from the pain of the world and help them get through it. He keeps in touch with students even years after the graduate and always hopes for the best of everyone. There could never be a bigger man then him unless god himself touched the ground.

While having a few moments and being confronted with the passing of my former student/godson, A few months ago, I lost one of my former Wildcat Brothers and had to reflect on my purpose. I took the moment again to reflect on my purpose. Witnessing the sting of losing a former student, to which once you are my student, you will always be my kids, I took time to look and read some of the comments. I am grateful for each of your kind words, love, support and willingness to express yourself. 30 years at Kirkpatrick has been my blessing and I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you so much for being my children, coworkers and members in the community. Blessing upon each of you and as we continue this journey together, remember the words of one of my favorite songs: "Lean on me, when you're not strong and I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on. It won't be long until I'm gonna need somebody to lean on." Your words of love and expressions have been my ray of sunshine during this time of losing not only a former student but one of my son. I’ve never met a teacher like Vaughns before. I always looked forward towards this class and at times the tasks we would do in class would help me with what I was going through personally. It really gave me another perspective. Not only talented in music and theater but in knowing how to be like a father figure to his students. He always knew when something was wrong without us having to say a word. He cares for his students a lot and when I had him as a teacher, I never wanted that period to come to an end. Mr.Vaughns taught me that there was still plenty to learn , not only in school but in life. He has guided me through a good path and I know I’ll never encounter a teacher like him ever again. Since I have been working for FWISD, I have had the pleasure of collaborating with Mr. Vaughns in various settings. He has and continues to be a a great contributor and asset to the work in which we are engaged. His personality is magnetic, and he never fails to brighten up any room. He is truly a blessing!
Mr.Vaughns was a great teacher for me last year. He was very open about everything. He would tell his stories and have all of our attention. His teaching is different in a positive way. He has a positive impact on all students now, and all students then.

He’s also really energetic and made a song for us to sing so we could memorize the things that were necessary.After my last year in high school I kept singing the song and until now it’s really useful for my English class.I think Mr.Vaughns really deserves this award.

Mr. Vaighn, has been a great techter, role model, for 3 of my kids and numerous of my nieces. I highly admire Mr. Vaughns for all his achievements in his career. But most of all he was there for my family when my son Johnny Meza was in the hospital. I will never forget how Mr. Vaughns prayed for him.
Mr. Vaughn’s is one of the greatest teachers I’ve had the experience of dealing with. I was never a member of choir when I was in school. However Mr. Vaughn’s never made it seem that way. He was always engaged in my academic progress as well as my behavior. He’s the type of person that doesn’t just “do his job” he does what needs to be done. I think if you look at the students pass and present. It’s obvious the man has a gift for working with children and is doing exactly what God has called him for.
One of the greatest teachers that i have had. Mr.V was always there for me, from my greatest to my worst days. He never gave up with me. Unlike many teachers that just get mad and write you up. He always made into a learning and valuable lesson. Thank you Mr.Vaughns.

I was one of Mr. Vaughns's professors at the summer institute of the Dallas Institute's Cowan Center. He brought joy, wonder, wisdom, and exuberance to our readings and discussions. He treated the experience as a gift--and gave of himself with heart and soul, welcoming every opportunity to learn and grow. I can begin to imagine what he brings to his teaching. His students and colleagues are blessed. I heartily support his nomination for LifeChanger of the Year.
Mr. Vaughns is an inspiring ELA teacher who brings out the best in students and helps them discover their educational potential in many shapes and forms. He sets the bar high for what a every teacher should strive to be by communicating well within his classroom, forming a connection among his students, and in all disciplining everyone in the classroom while maintaining a fun learning environment.

I had Mr.Vaughns in 8th grade. He made my last year in middle school one to remember, always made sure we were good and that what he taught us stayed in our minds. Having such an amazing person as your teacher really did motivate you to try your best, so glad I get to say he was my teacher and I will forever be proud of that, he truly is deserving of all of this.
I had Mr.Vaughns for English 1, in 8th grade , I was beyond scared about talking a highschool class while being in middle school , but with Mr.Vaughns encouragement and amazing way of teacher I passed my STAAR test without a worry and feel completely comfortable about english , and I strongly believe it’s because of the way he teachers. Not only is he an outstanding teacher , he’s also a friend , a father figure for some , during 8th grade I went through some rough patches and every single time I felt like talking to someone about it , he was always available and even when he wasn’t he would make time to hear me out, he helped me and encouraged me not to give up and continue to support me in everything I do. To this day, with a simple “hey mija” with a loving hug , Mr.Vaughns uplifts everyone’s spirits , he truly is everyone you need to have in life all in his purple loving self.
I thank Mr. Vaughns for helping me realize who I am. Going into his class during my 8th grade year I would sit in the back of the classroom and not talk to anyone, but the one thing I would do is admire Mr. Vaughns.He taught his class like no other teacher, he made English class fun and enjoyable. Thanks to him i learned that life is about learning in fun ways and doing the things you love and helping others. His enthusiasm is infectious, inspiring, and absolutely critical for student growth. If you ever attended Kirkpatrick Middle school, & you hear that name, you know it can only be one. Such an amazing person inside & out, always positive, full of joy, and happiness. I had Mr. Vaughns for music & choir, he left such an impact on my life, memories that that will stay with me for a lifetime. Definition of a role model, any student would love to have him as an teacher/mentor, I’m so proud to be able to say “that was my teacher” we need more like him, so genuine, & have always wanted his students to succeed! I remeber entering kirkpatrick towards the end of my 8th grade year and like any other kid in that situation i was slightly antisocial but Mr.Vaughns was the only person who welcomed me into the school and tried to get me out my bubble by making be help out in the talent show he was trully a mentor and helped me pass my STAR test with flying colors i really cherish him as a mentor and am forever thankfull for him treating me like one of his kids
I have never met any other teacher who has brought more life in a class room other than Mr. Vaughns! He’s the kind of teacher that you wish you are going to have because he is so loved by everyone! I had the honor to be apart of his class, and now he sees me as his own, and I’m truly grateful for that. If there’s anyone who deserves this .. it’s Mr. Vaughns!

He was lik that Uncle in the family that's in church that every nephew n niece respect n he made sure of that... Mr. Vaughns is an amazing person. I was blessed to grow up with him from a child. He showed me the love in music. He was my musician at my church for so many years at Greater New Hope in Fort Worth. He not only headed the music department he also planned the yearly Hunted House for Halloween. He transformed the church into something only he could. He played a major part in the person I am today! Mr.Vaughns is the KIng.He is generous,loving honest and most of all a great friend/mentor.My cousin had him in middle school and she spoke to me about him on what kind of person he is.She told me things like how he had problems as a child and how he rose up to become the man he is today.I started my 8th grade year having him as a teacher and from my point of view I can honestly say that he is what my cousin said,hes humble,respectful,kind.He is the right example of what a role model should be and being honest and all,I look up to him not just as my teacher or friend but as family.

All who encounter him are drawn to his genuine heart and magnetic personality. As I joined the KMS Family many years ago. I can recall Mr. Vaughns say "heeeelllooo" in his own goofy sounding way the first time we meet. As time passed I remember him singing one of my favorite songs "Wing Beneathe My Wings" , I know that GOD is guiding him to utilizes the gifts he has given him everywhere & with everyone from the past, present and in the future. One of those gifts is with his students, he enlightens them to the wanting to learn, to respect,grow and succeed. I witnessed this many times as I there with the Wildcat Brothers classes & English classes. With this, though I could write many more events that took place, I'm going to state one more. Vaughns can now sing though he's humble another favorite song that we would sing "I'm gonna let this light of mine, let it shine, let it shine"

I had Mr.Vaughns my 8th grade year and he always inspired other students and myself to be the best we could be. Even students he did not teach were impacted by him. Not only was he an amazing soul but also a remarkable teacher who always made learning enjoyable. I still remember the song he made to help with definitions and its been 5 years! I don’t know an educator more deserving of all these awards than Mr.Vaughns.

Mr.Vaughn is a strange person when you first getting to know him because sometimes he can be a little crazy. He can be playful or could be serious. He has helped me a lot because i was in a bad spot at the beginning of 7th grade year but once i got in his class i started improving in class. I played sports and I didn't get in trouble as much. I remember being in school and everyone wanted to have him as their English teacher and worked so hard to just make sure the were able to have him for the whole year! He made learning so much fun for absolutely everyone! From the moment you walked in for the transition camp, to the very last day of school. Mr. Vaughns made you feel like you were part of a family and always had someone watching out for you. From his vibrant and welcoming energy, to the songs he would come up with to help you remember things. He is just the absolute best! Mr.Vaughns aka “pops” was a very amazing teacher. I got the opportunity to have known him my middle school years 2011-2014. He always puts his family. Friends & students before himself. He always has his door open no matter what the situation maybe. He made sure everyone felt at home and like family. Mr. Vaughns is such an amazing educator. I had the opportunity to teach alongside him for five years when I was a teacher at Kirkpatrick Middle School. It is an amazing thing to watch Mr. Vaughns interact with students as well as their parents of which many he taught when they were in middle school. All of his students are "his kids", and you just hope you get your picture up on the wall in his classroom to join the many others that have graced his classroom throughout his years at KMS. Mr. Vaughns has definitely been a lifechanger for many students at KMS and beyond.

who is Leo Vaughn.? well far from where i know he is an amazing teacher great spirit always in a really good mood and if ever see him frown just know he brings that frown upside down always.He always cheers me up even when my day is bad he makes it better
and I forget what I was sad or mad about he such and amazing teacher that when i had a project an I had an idea to do it an have him involve. what my project is about "saving the puppy's what originally a mini version of auditorium and all the things it has in it. This project meant a lot to him since the beginning that he saw it, and he also felt in love like no other one. the reason why i created this is because how caring and loving he is. he such an inspiration.

Mr. Vaughns was one of those teachers that it’s a pleasure to meet. He took me under his wing as soon as I met him in the seventh grade and has helped me and guided me ever since. Even after I went on to high school, I could always count on him for guidance. I’ve been out of school for a while and he still takes the time to check up on me. He’s like a father figure and his been like that for most of us specially the guys. Some one we can count on to be there for a good advise.

There is so much i can say about Mr Vaughn's, i never got lucky to actually have him for a class but i did have him as a tutor and in all of our English and writing camps and every time i loved it he makes learning so fun and actually get you in to learning and he also seemed to always have alot of patience when i know sometimes he just wanted to rip his hair out but just know Mr Vaughns that all your hard work has been notice and you have been a part of making a lot of successful adults.
I’m going to keep short and to the point because if I don’t I would be here for ever. Mr.Vaughns has had an huge impact in my life when I was a student at Kirkpatrick Middle School back in 2011-2014. As soon as I stepped on campus I made my presents known, as an athlete, leader, likes to talk to a lot of girls, loves to push the limits of teachers, trouble maker, joker in class,etc. I would be an 6th grade and walked to the 8th grade like I own the school and Mr.Vaughns was the first one to yell at me. From that day on Mr.Vaughns has made an impact in my life, by having someone to ask questions, getting goof grades in his class, advice , you name it. He always saw the potential I had as athlete, student, and I great man I would be one day. I just want to say thank you Mr.Vaughns for everything you have done for me.

Three years ago, my two kids and I moved to Fort Worth. I moved to Fort Worth leaving my immediate family 8 hours behind. . My Lord placed me in Kirkpatrick Middle School. He sure knew what he had planned for me. I was very fortunate because I met Mr. Vaughns, he welcomed me to Kirkpatrick Middle. He helped me navigate through hardships and shed light so that I could clearly see beyond my hardships. He was my rock when most needed. Mr. Vaughn made me feel like Kirkpatrick family. I will forever be grateful to him.Therefore, Mr. Vaughn and all Kirkpatrick family will always hold a special place in my heart. He is an awesome singer and piano player. As a former colleague, I was alawys amazed of how highly all students spoke of him. He is very well loved by students and all colleagues.
It's so much I can say about Mr Vaughan.. he was my music teacher about 25 years ago he was a great teacher a great mentor he always interact with the students I know it probably got on his nerves a lot but still hung in there with us and he always used to come and get me and make sure I go to church every Sunday what else can I say he just flat-out great all-around man of God and he still at the old Kirkpatrick still looking out for the children of the neighborhood thank you Mr. Leo Vaughns.

I am a 9th grader now but I had mr.vaughns for eight grade. I gotta say that was the only class I was looking forward throughout the day. He is the most kind, funny, crazy, outgoing, understandable person. Till this day I know I can count on him if I ever need anything. Eight grade was an amazing year. If I could go back to my eight grade year I would and it would only be because of him. My mom had him when she was younger and she still talks about him till this day and how amazing he was and still is. He will forever be the best teacher I ever had

There’s so much I want and could say about Mr. Vaughns. He was and still is one of the most amazing teachers ever!! Not only is he an amazing teacher, but just an amazing human being. Mr. Vaughns has changed my life in so many ways he couldn’t possibly imagine, and I have so much to be grateful for when it comes to him. He was always there pushing me and the rest of his students to strive for only the best. He taught me how to overcome adversity and overcome things that I thought would for sure break me. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the support, encouragement, love and kindness that Reverend Vaughns contributed to our special day and the beginning of our new lives together, when he wedded us on July 14, 2018, in what was his first officiating of a wedding ceremony. We are greatfull that we were able to make these memories together and look forward to experiencing many more as he continues to enrich our lives as both a minister and a friend.
Mr. Vaughns helped mold me into the person I am today. As an English teacher, he instilled a love for literature I hadn’t had before, but through music, I learned to express myself outwardly. Being a shy kid in a new neighborhood, I didn’t have any friends. Leo accidentally stumbled upon me singing and I ended up in his honor choir. The memories of me being the youngest dude in the choir singing alto with the upperclassmen are some of my fondest. The thing is, everyone Leo interacts with has a story as to when he met them where they were and inspired them to want to be better. I never thought I’d be traveling the globe singing for Popes and on the biggest opera stages abroad, but if it weren’t for Leo, I wouldn’t have known I even possessed a gift. MR Vaughn’s , is a great teacher, all 5 of my 6 children been in Kirkpatrick MS in his class, and all I can say he is amazing!! He gives many lessons not just about school but also about life

I have known Mr. Vaughns over 20 years. When I first met him, he had an infectious smile that radiated throughout the room. His personality was one that made people gravitate towards him. But, the most important aspect is that he has not changed. Mr. Vaughns was our church musician. I had NEVER sung a solo. He kept telling me I could do it. He worked with me and I conquered a lifelong fear of singing OUTSIDE the shower. He is truly a life changer.
There's never enough words I can use to describe the love of and compassion of Mr. Vaughns. Middle school was quite hard for me as it is amongst other people, between trying to blend in the the crowds and also trying to determine your individuality. In Middle school I honestly didn't stand out I often was outshaddowed by others and left behind a lil bit. But Mr. Vaughns had changed my life, he saw me, he saw my potential and he brought it out of me. He never left anyone behind. For him, I found myself wanting to go to school, wanting to be somebody. This man deserves everything, if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be this successful independent woman I am today. It was his encouragement that brought our passion for learning and showing each of us had potential.
Mr. Leo Vaughns, every child deserves an advocate - a teacher that will be persistent in communicating to that child to be the best that they can possibly be. Mr. Vaughns is an excellent educator and community activist in the Fort Worth community. Over 20+ years, he remains highly involved with ensuring his students have the supports that they need to be personally and academically successful, fostering a sense of home at the school and building positive relationships. Mr. Vaughns has also extended his work beyond Kirkpatrick into the greater community through his work with Leadership ISD to reduce racial disparities and improve educational outcomes for all Fort Worth ISD students. He is a rarely exceptional educator who is passionate about ensuring a brighter future for our students!

I met Leo Vaughns at a community event where he was working hard to support us students and better the environment they learn in daily. Leo Vaughan Jr is one of the most special people that I have ever met. He is my first cousin and he has always been destined to succeed in life. He has the love of God in his heart, and it's always been there since we were small toddlers. He's always been a joy to all that he encounters as well as always willing to help wherever there's a need. He's a very very very special person and I know that he deserves all the recommendation for his Goodwill toward mankind.
When I think about my childhood and school years the first person that comes to mind is Mr. Leo Vaughns. He was my choir mentor, gave me the courage to come out of my shell. He made a mark in my life that I will forever cherish. Because of him I became a choir teacher at church. Once I took my choir to a nursing home to sing to the residents and I was not surprised to see him there! We joined forces and my choir sanged while he accompanied us with his beautiful skills on the piano.
He's the type of person that brightens your day; literally on a cloudy day. He's an inspiration, a motivator, an enthusiastic human being and the kindest person imaginable. He's love for his work and the Lord is seen in his day to day filled with Grace.

As a smart, but troubled Mexican American teenager. Growing up in a crime infested community, was tough. I wanted to be the cool kid so bad, i hung out with other teens who were gang affiliated. Often sold drugs to be part of the crew.
Mr. Vaughns among other KMS teachers helped guide me towards the right direction. I remember early in the morning, him singing over the intercom, songs full of positive energy, reading out promising quotes. "Make it a great day or not, the choice is yours"
Mr. Vaughn smile and laughter was louder than the voice that wanted me to belong to the wrong crowd. I want to thank you Mr. Vaughns. Because of influences like yourself, people like you who believed in me, i am now part of successful company where i am able to pass along the same message. Thank you!

He was one of the best teachers I had in middle school! He would always push us to try harder and made it fun along the way!
Mr. Vaughn’s was my choir teacher at KMS when I was in 6th grade back in 1997. He was a great inspiration and was the first teacher to actually share his love for music. I will never forget one of our first songs he taught us “Lean on me” and “We are the World”. To this day I share them with my kids and tell him how wonderful my choir teacher was. He had a major influence on my and my fellow peers. Singing in his class made you happy and excited at the same time. We need more teachers like him!!

Mr.Vaughns is such a gem. For starters I attended Kirkpatrick middle school back in 2008-2011. I dealt with bullying , low self-esteem you name it . He helped me find my voice. He is such a father figure to every student who crosses his path. He makes sure you’re taken care of and are doing your best at all times. He’s part of the reason why I do what I do now. I go to school for education and music. I would love to incorporate both in a learning environment just like he did. Without music , I don’t know where my life would be . I would like to thank Mr.Vaughns for helping me find my calling and never giving up on me.

Mr.Vaughns was my 8th grade teacher in KMS, he was a person who was very caring and very lovable to his students. He did the best he could of done to help his students succeed and pass his class, I always saw him as a bigger brother who was there for you when you were down or just upset. He put so much effort in making class as enjoyable as possible and he did so by just being himself, till this day I thank him for putting me on track in school and helping me be a better person. Seeing his faith with god and seeing how god works with him motivated me to get my act together with god, Leo has always been in my thoughts and prayers, though it’s been years since I attended his class we still keep in touch and catch up with eachother, thank you Leo for being the person you are, you are a role model to many and you continue to be. ????

He has been a blessing to so many children he came to Kirkpatrick Middle School 30 years ago and enlightened so many of us with his gift of music. He formed the Famous Kirkpatrick Show Chior that was not just entertainment it was a uplifting experience and a much needed outlet for many of us. As children we would spend our time after school at a practice that would turn in to a Praise and Worship session. Being an adult and looking back on everything I thank God for Mr. Leo Vaughn for the impact and sacrifice that he made for each and every child that he encountered. I met Mr Vaughn while during some electrical work at his home. That was somewhere in the vicinity of 10 years ago. Mr Vaughn made an impression upon me as a great man and friend. A rock and man of God. I believe that God used that service call as a way to forge a friendship with someone whom will always,be called, my brother, my.friend.

I entered Kirkpatrick Middle School in the fall of 1990 as a 6th grade student. I didn't meet Mr. Vaughns until my 7th grade year when he became our choir teacher. He made class fun and was always available to listen if you needed him. He was always attending extracurricular activities that had nothing to do with choir. He wanted us to know that he supported us in other aspects of our lives. Over the years I have had nephews, nieces, and cousins go through Kirkpatrick and as soon as he knew they were kin to me he looked out for them. Now don't misunderstand me, he was not a pushover at all. He could get you straight with his words then encourage you to do better. He believed in us and that made us believe in ourselves. My neighborhood was really rough and infested with gang violence at that time.Today I am a proud parent of a 7th grader at Kirkpatrick. Mr. Vaughns found out last year that my son was in attendance there and he has been there for him the same way he was there for me 28 years ago. My son can go to him with his problems for advice and that means a lot to me as a single parent. Mr. Vaughns has never changed and I'm sure he never will. He deserves the title and he embodies the true definition of being MR. KIRKPATRICK!!! Thank you for all you have done, are doing, and will do for the students, staff, and community. WE LOVE YOU!!!
Mr.Vaughns has been a great influence in my life while I was at KP middle school always taught me and everyone else to keep a positive attitude about everything and never let anything bring you down from reaching your goals. He’s always looking out for everyone and making sure that your okay and try’s to help with anything he can . I couldn’t thank him enough for getting me thru middle school and he guidance on how to get throw high school .

Mr.Leo Vaughns Jr.greatness of ministry reaches far beyond the Dallas/Fort Worth communities,this wonderful Man of God routinely comes back to his roots where it begins to La Grange Texas in Fayette County where he gives back with Love,Patience,and Kindness which much recognition is to him for the Renovation of The Bethlehem A.M.E.Church his compassion and encouraging spirit kept the members and motivated to complete a great challenge of Repairing the Church with Musical Fund Raisers etc. And for this the Community of La Grange Texas is greatful and appreciate all Mr.Vaughns has done for many,,many,many years.

I have soo many memories of mr.Leo...he use too play organ for my church..and he was always bubbly and ready too get going..I live in Dallas but I would come every Sunday and bring 3 more cars with me..ready too bed feed with the word and listen too him and the choir..many chairs got broke up in church....last year he texted me and invited me to his musical..brought back a lot of good memories...Now he is teaching I know his students just Love him...Mr Leo is a man of God and have a special talent...keep working for GOD....be blessed

As a kid, I’ve always appreciated having a great role model around me. Showing me the right tools to be a Great student and utilizing those tools in the society. Mr. Vaughn’s has been the heart and soul to the Fwisd and Kirkpatrick middle school. Without his acts of kindness and passion, the light would be dim. Due to his character and gifts, I will forever be grateful and proud to be a wildcat!
What is a LifeChanger? I know my definition is an person that has the ability to change most of the people whom they come in contact with. Have you ever went to depth heights or above what you thought you were capability of doing? Well, I know I have and I have seen the impact on others. That is what Mr. Vaughns do to anyone who have the privilege to come in contact with him. Without you knowingly, you will be move obstacles and exceeding to heights that you never knew was possible. It is true. That is what happens when he is presented. I have witnessed him make homemade roller coasters(yes the ability to make it go up down and curb), creating thunder, orchestratie an choir with the neighborhood kids (that included me) all in the backyard. We would sing, have a revival, even have musicals. Yes, he has been grounded and rooted in THE WORD since a child. We were able to experience the real thing (before Virtual came out). By the hands and creative mind of 1 individual., a little humble boy that saw greatness in others, milk carton, a box or whatever he had access to. His vision shined brighter then stars, he definitely made lemonades with lemons. He could take the smallest idea and built it until it was bigger than what we could even imagine. He is the result of blessed and highly favored. He talented in so many areas. Mr.Vaughn is one in an million.

I ended up singing in a church choir in front of hundreds of people and i couldn't have done it without the confidence he instilled in me as a kid in seventh grade. Mr.Vaughns is one of a kind! He’s the teacher who never gave up on any of his students. I still remember some of a rap we learned for English. He always made learning so fun and I don’t think I’ve been so excited to learn if it wasn’t for him. He is the teacher who has a different bond with all his students. He still to this day remembers and talks to his students and it puts a smile on everyone’s face. He will always have a place in my heart because he was always there for me. I remember I got embarrassed in class and he stood up of me and I remember him putting a smile on my face right after. Everyday I went into his class he had a quote up on the board for us to interpret what it meant to us and because of him I have a voice . I miss looking at those quotes on the board. School at JP Elder, and would periodically go to the Kirkpatrick when my brother would take me with him to help him do stuff there around the school and I met Mr. Vaughn’s and was the coolest and most humble person I knew. He didn’t know a stranger and was always so cheerful and uplifting to his colleagues and students. Even now as I’m older and I still see him as different functions around our community, he’s still the same person very humble and genuine.
He’s accomplished so much through his lifetime and is one of kind man. Glad to call him a friend with the biggest heart.

I had Mr. Vaughn’s was my middle school teacher 25 years ago. I looked forward to seeing him in the hallways and how he interacted with the students and staff. I can still hear him singing. My son had him as his English teacher last year and always has great things to say about this wonderful teach. I can’t quite fathom what my life would’ve been without Kirkpatrick and mr. Vaughns. It was truly my home away from home the amount of love, dedication and time this teacher put into his students, his peers and this school is overwhelming in all the good ways too. Because of Mr. Vaughn’s I would wake up excited for my education and inspired of all the good that would come along with it. I am forever grateful that God placed me in such a wonderful school with such wonderful people who raised me into the person I am. Three years ago, my two kids and I moved to Fort Worth. I moved to Fort Worth leaving my immediate family 8 hours behind. . My Lord placed me in Kirkpatrick Middle School. He sure knew what he had planned for me. I was very fortunate because I met Mr. Vaughns, he welcomed me to Kirkpatrick Middle. He helped me navigate through hardships and shed light so that I could clearly see beyond my hardships. He was my rock when most needed. Mr. Vaughn made me feel like Kirkpatrick family. I will forever be grateful to him.Therefore, Mr. Vaughn and all Kirkpatrick family will always hold a special place in my heart. He is an awesome singer and piano player. As a former colleague, I was alawys amazed of how highly all students spoke of him. He is very well loved by students and all colleagues.

Mr. Vaughn’s is not only an amazing teacher but an amazing human being in general. His class was that one class you looked forward to everyday. He was a staple in my years at KMS, but made an impact on every student. I heard of Leo before I even stepped in his class... my brother who is 13 years older than me had nothing but great things to say and I’ve got to say I’m thankful I was able to be a student of his aswell.

No words can express the amount of love I have toward my pops, he was my favorite teacher at Kirkpatrick middle school. He gave me the opportunity to be the wildcat brother president in 2016. When mr.vaughns steps in the room it glows up and his presence changes the whole room in the best way ever. He taught me things in life that nobody else has and he truly has shown me the ropes & how to grow into a young man. And he is continuing to do so. Words to describe Mr.Vaughns overflow my mind. A man of God and a man who does everything to better our community. Not only did he have the power to make me believe in myself but he gave me hope and faith, which I was lacking much of when I became his student. Mr. Vaughns is not just any ordinary teacher or educator. He is the type of person that will make you look deep down inside yourself and see the potential and greatness in you that you might not have realized was there. I remember being so excited to go to his class when I was in the 8th grade because I felt like that was the place I could really be myself, I would be challenged, and I finally had teacher I could relate too. I was lucky enough to have pops as my English 1 teacher my 8th grade year at Kirkpatrick Middle school . Thanks to all the work he puts into the courses he teaches, my classmates and I were able to succeed that year . Pops isn’t just an ordinary teacher per say , he makes sure to be there for his students when they’re going through rough times and need that support system they may be lacking at that moment. There aren’t words that can express the amount of gratitude I have towards him for being there for me when I was struggling my 8th grade year. Thanks to his guidance I was able to find the right fit for me at my current school and will be the first to graduate in my family this year. Mr. Vaughns, my eighth-grade reading teacher, has been a person that has impacted my life in so many ways. One day a family member asked me “why are you so involved in school it’s not going to help you with life?” At that moment, I had to be respectful like my parents and Mr. Vaughns taught me, and I didn’t say anything to them, but it affected me. I had told Mr. Vaughns what had happen and he told me that “In life you must work hard for what you want. People will try and bring you down, but don’t let them”
When I graduate from Kirkpatrick middle school i had to give Mr.Vaughns something that he will never forget besides all the nicknames (pop, king and my favorite “bully”but with much love)
I gave him a crown because he is the king of Kirkpatrick and nobody else but him deserves it. I hope one day I becomes a great teacher and mentor just like Mr. Vaughns.

This man has touched the lives students, their parents and there are likely instances of where he has touched the lives of their grandparents! Many are working in professions for a number of reasons, Leo is serving, ministering, and living in a profession that it is clear he has been chosen for. Many would like to know their purpose, others know it and want to walk in it, Mr. Vaughns lives his purpose daily. I had the pleasure of working alongside Mr. Vaughns for five school years. As a social worker, Mr. Vaughns is the kind of teacher you hope to work with. He is a loving, caring adult who knows test scores are valued but that the student is more important. He looks at every student as a child of God and serves each one to their unique individual needs. He know that they can’t show up and perform if they have stuff going on in their personal lives or don’t have the basic needs to function. He never once broke confidentiality with his students but instead urged them to come visit me when needed. Mr. Vaughns loves like Jesus. He should get the Life Changer of the Year award; but to many of us, he is solely the life changer of our lives. Period.

Honestly mr.vaughns took me in as a kid and treated me as one of his own, I remember first meeting him my 6th grade year because I was a trouble student always in the office, he got onto me as if I was his son, and in my life I didn’t have my father. Ever since my old sister have told me about Mr. Vaughns i dreamed about being in his class. I had so much luck and got switched to his class. He was incredible and made everyone in the class his friend. My greatest memory of him was when he hurt his wrist and the whole class was upset because we wanted him to play one if his amazing songs for our ceremony. He pushed through and he played like he never played before for us, and i will never forget the song. He will forever be my role model

Wonderful teacher of mine whom I met in the early nineties when he started teaching at Kirkpatrick MS. He has always been a great mentor for students and tries his best to make sure they know they matter as people!! I’m very blessed he is still at KMS and also taught 3 of my 4 daughters. There is so much one could say about Bro Vaughns, a man of Grace and Integrity. My most memorable times with him was when he was the Minister of Music at GNHMBC, him playing the organ and singing songs of Zion, I can still hear his voice now! Thinking back on those days, those songs, those annual musicals are what help me to always make Jesus my choice. His example of giving God all the Glory during the good and the bad, I am eternally grateful. He deserves all the honors and recognition this world has to offer! From a young age we are asked or should I say told to go out and make something of ourselves. To go out and become someone and to be successful. To go out and conquer the world thru our own successes. While that really is good advice, I believe somewhere someone told Leo to go out and be someone in order to “be there” for someone else. Leo was my first youth choir director when I was a member of my original church home, Greater New Hope Missionary B.C. As a kid, sadly church wasnt the 1 place that everyone wanted to be but Leo truly made church FUN for me. He taught us songs, encouraged us, and made being in the Lords House enjoyable. He is truly a unique and awesome individual!!

Mr. Vaughns was more than a teacher. He was a guide to righteousness and selflessness, always taught to care about others while also nurturing your heart. His kindness, energetic attitude, and teachings made an impact in my life. For that, I thank him, and wish he gets all of the recognition and respect he deserves.
I was just a young kid going into his choir class thinking “I’ll just show up to get a grade” not knowing this class would teach me more about life, being a good person, and of course great music. This was more than 15 years ago, yet I remember him with honor and respect. I recall as though it was yesterday, walking in to a senior living facility... Quiet, feeling of loneliness in the room, on Christmas time. He set up his Piano, while we got into position.. altos, sopranos, and tenors. With the exception of the staff, almost no one noticed us walking in and setting up. Mr. Vaughns starts playing his piano and with his lead we start to sing Christmas songs. And just like that, at that moment their faces lighted up, and joy reflected in their smile as they started to clap along with the melody. We had brought joy to their life, and as I stood there with tears jerking out of my eyes, I realized that you can make a big impact in someone’s life by doing something good and thoughtful that comes from the heart. Mr. Vaughns taught me that, just by being himself. Thank you!

Mr.Vaughns is a extraordinary person who goes above and beyond to help someone in need he helped me find my brother who I got separated with at Birth when I was put up for adoption my brother's name was Albert Rocha Jr but he went by AJ at school I was just an infant when I got separated but as I got older I found out that I was adopted and so I decided to track them down it take a couple of years but with some research I found out what school he went to and I just went to the school to see if they would know anything about it and that's where I met Mr Vaughn's he helped me and even gave me one of the last copies of the yearbook of when my brother attended School he guided me to his last address of where he was when he attended School and lucky enough I found my brother who I never met until that day mr. Vaughn's helped me and changed my life thanks to him I now have a brother and I will never forget this act of kindness thank you mr. Vaughns
Mr. Vaughns is one of the greatest teachers that any student in the entire world can ever have. He makes learning very fun for all students and is able to connect to all his students he always cared about all of us as his own children. When I first started at Kirkpatrick I couldn’t wait to have him! And now that I have left Kirkpatrick so many years ago, I miss him very much! One of the greatest gifts Kirkpatrick Middle School in the North Side Community has is Leo Vaughns Jr. His dedication leadership in love for the students and parents is unbelievable. I first met live on through my wife and pretty soon I knew where are the hype was about. Leo gives 110 % of himself to educating the students, listening to the students and knowing what their dreams are. He is there for them when they are good, but more so when they are in need of help. I'm very lucky to know Leo. I have volunteered with him on several occasions and his enthusiasm makes you want to do more for the students parents and the community, he makes you want to be a better person. I had the privilege of being able to have Mr.Vaughns has my English 1 teacher my 8th grade year at Kirkpatrick Middle School. Not only was he one of my favorite teachers but he was also a very good mentor to me and a lot of the other kids at school. Everyone knew they could count on him. He would always go beyond expectations in order to see his students achieve there goals.
Sometimes words aren't enough to explain the magnitude of compassion and love someone has for everybody. Leo is an exceptional person and truly a Gift from God to everyone that has been blessed to meet him. He tries to help whomever he can whenever he can. I have known Mr. Vaughns or as most of his former students call him (poppa Vaughns) for many years now. He was my ELA and choir teacher in middle school several years ago. I remember him always being full of happiness and joy that spread all around when he was near. He is a very special individual and anyone who gets the chance to meet him is very blessed to do so.

I've been knowing Leo as a child when he taught me my first songs to sing at church. Fast forward about 33 years later never thought I'd be playing the drums on Sunday with him. I've known Leo over 40 years when he was a musician at my church Greater New Hope Missionary Baptish Church. Leo has a kind spirit and one of the best personalities of anyone I have ever met. Where can one start when you have witnessed one person truly change the lives of so many people, including myself? As a student at Kirkpatrick Middle school, I remember passing by Mr. Vaughns' classroom and seeing all of his students engaged in learning. Not only were they engaged, their enthusiasm to learn matched his enthusiasm and energy to teach. Students who would regularly skip class or who did not actively participate in school activities were present in Mr. Vaughns' classroom. And then there was “Show Choir"! He connected with other students whom never had the pleasure to be his student in the classroom by becoming their teacher of music. Students who thought of themselves as “the cool kids" wanted to “show up and show out" in the school choir, Mr. Vaughns’ Show Choir. Similarly to sports, we had to make sure our class work and conduct were exemplary in order to participate.
When I was a substitute teacher, I subbed in his classroom on various occasions . Needless to say each period his students sang his praises. The one constant remark was how Mr. Vaughns has the effortless ability of getting students to want to be present at school. Many staff members over the years has benefited from Mr. Vaughns’ positive inactions with students. They (we) as students simply did not want to let Mr. Vaughns down by not meeting his expectations in and out of his classroom. We could depend on him to support us on and off campus. Therefore, his students shows him the same zealousness.
Mr. Vaughns was the first person I had in mind when I needed a professional recommendation to become an educator. As a former educator of FWISD, I always inspired to have an positive impact on my students as Mr. Vaughns has on his students. I marvel at how he’s able to not only effortlessly teach, but also change lives. He has saved lives of students who from personal experience would not have surpassed the stereotypical life expectation for minorities in our community. There’s truly no one more deserving of the many accolades which has and will be bestowed upon Mr. Vaughns. To be called Pops by your students and some of your colleagues symbolizes the lives you created by changing the courses of destruction they could have fell prey. I have known and worked with him in ministry and community at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Youth Ministry and Music Ministry. He is a gifted and anointed to do just what he is doing.
Mr. Vaughns is one of the most amazing people you’ll ever meet. He has a the biggest heart and dedicates himself to others. He is also one of the hardest workers I’ve ever met because whenever I see him he’s always working on something on his computer. Mr. Vaughns is an inspiration to me, his students, coworkers.
Mr.Vaughns will always be my favorite teacher, til this day , as a freshman at the University of North a Texas. Me. Vaughn’s, also known as pops, has been one of the biggest influencers in my life. He was my 8th grade English teacher and, although I’m 22 now, I still continue to find myself going to him when I need advice. He’s the type of person you genuinely feel blessed to have in your life, and I can’t put into words how grateful I am to have met him. He has students from many years ago still visiting because he has that type of impact on people lives. Mr. Vaughns came to our campus for Career Day this year and all of us here at Washington Heights were moved by his presentation on being an educator. Mr. Vaughn’s was the heart of Kirkpatrick middle school. He gave us all confidence that we could do whatever we wanted to do in life regardless of the fact that we were in a low income neighborhood. He lead by example by getting a degree from TCU. We all looked forward to going to school and singing in the Gospel Show Choir. He formed a drill team and taught us an empowering mission statement to say every morning. Mr. Vaughns.. such a great man. With much to say I will comment hear with an example of the lasting impression he has left on me. I’ll never forget a memory I have going in to my freshman year of high school in 2012 that was due to this amazing teacher. It was my first year of high school and on top of that I was in a new school district. It was time for English class and though this pre-ap classroom was filled with very knowledgeable students, when a vocabulary word question was asked, I was the only one able to answer. I believe the word was “alliteration” and I still remember the fun tune that Mr. Vaughns cooked up for us in middle school that as soon as I heard the word I almost shouted “repeat the same letters”. The teacher then said to me almost a little shocked “That’s right! Which teacher did you have in middle school?”. I then explained how I had just moved from FWISD and that I had an amazing teacher there who made sure I could remember these terms so easily. I was proud of where I had came from and I can thank Mr. Vaughns for putting me in that position to shine.
I have been gifted the opportunity to get to know Mr.Vaugh through Leadership ISD 2020 and I must say he is full of energy and unapologetically committed to changing the world starting with Fort Worth FIRST!!!! It’s been a pleasure working with him and this is an exceptional honor for an exceptional person! Well done LEO!!!!

Lifechanger of the Year is such an appropriate title for Mr. Vaughns as he has changed so many lives over the years, literally impacting families for generations. I attended the ceremony where the cafeteria/auditorium was named after him and it was so very touching to stand there and see the multi-generational families who attended to honor him. As I stood shoulder to shoulder with the hundreds of students, friends, and family members at the naming ceremony, I listened to the many comments of the students, their parents, and their grandparents. What became very clear to me is that Mr. Vaughns has touched families in many ways and made them better students and parents. They were all sharing their "Pops" stories and telling what a difference he made for them on a specific day or time in their life. Leo Vaughns truly is a Lifechanger!
I am so pleased to be able to leave a comment for my extraordinary friend. Last summer, Mr. Vaughns became one of my favorite students in a rigorous, multidisciplinary graduate class here at the Dallas Institute's Cowan Center. In spite of his long years of experience and the excellence with which he is already endowed, Leo entered the class with humility and a strong desire to deepen himself and grow. Very quickly, he became an important part of the class for everyone. His spirit is authentic and it lifted everyone around him, and his willingness to submit himself to learning new things and ideas inspired us, too. He was an earnest and passionate student. I know that he carries this same spirit and intellectual breadth into the classroom as well. Congratulations to Mr. Vaughns for showing the community that a teacher of excellence is one who loves learning and life. Mr. Vaughns, the community of Fort Worth and generations of students have you to thank, I know, but I am grateful for how you inspired me, too!
I met Leo his second year at Weatherford College. He worked with the gospel choir and everyone wanted to be a part. In some way or another many of the black students that lived in the dorms would somehow make their way to the choir room if not to sing, to simply see what was going on!
Leo has a way of pushing students toward realizing their potential and I'm no different. I simply wanted to learn how to play the Hammond organ but when he saw that I was picking it up pretty well, he sent me to a church to play for them (which was not at all what I thought I could do). Needless to say, he was there the whole way and I spent many days and nights gleaning his wisdom about the assignment until the training wheels came off.
It was unbelievable then, but since then I have traveled to six countries playing gospel music and have never forgotten Leo's impact on my life. I wrote about him in my book "The Journey to Genesis", because I wanted to share how for me he was a "destiny helper". Reading this nomination profile confirms what so many of us already know. As he approaches 30 years in and around the classroom, it gives me great joy to say that I'm proud to be a product of his freely giving spirit!
I believe that Leo Vaughns Jr is a man after Gods own heart. He loves unconditionally and does not consider anyone to be a stranger. Leo has helped to lead many children in the right direction and he has inspired them to be the best in life that they can be. Leo's humbleness has caused his pass to secure his future. Even though he has accomplished much, the best is yet to come!

Awesomely gifted, talented and called by God to be a blessing to others. These attributes describe Leo as an renowned educator, his community involvement, and his devout friendship to humanity. I am extremely proud to say that I have known Leo for more than twenty years and consider him to be synonymous to a blood brother. He has been such a blessing in my life, making memorable moments, events and challenging times so much easier to bear. He is an individual who is dependable, true to his word and diligent to what ever the cause. Our ministries not only are aligned as educators but as musical cohorts. We would travel together to do gospel music concerts in the summer. Each summer I would witness the diligence and hard work he would but in, in preparation for these events and stand back in awe at where he received the energy to accomplish so much in such a small time frame.This was simply amazing to me. Not only have we traveled together singing, he has served as the musician in my church for many years. Genuine, never changing and a continuous blessing that flows from individual to individual.This is just who he is.He is dedicated to each and every task that he is presented with and does it with finesse and extreme integrity. What a blessing from God and a privilege to know you!!! Keep up the great job you are doing!!!
Mr. Vaughns is THE definition of a selfless educator and steward of promoting youth!
Leo is a wonderful, caring, talented and dedicated person. He is committed to education and learning. Whatever he does he gives 200% of his time, effort and energy. He is super busy but always smiling. He is leaving his mark on our community one person at a time. He is everywhere and very loved.
Leo is so passionate about improving the lives of his students and creating a culture of community at Kirkpatrick. He is a role model for all educators out there!!!

Leo has been a life changing mentor for countless people. His great attitude that he carries on a daily basis is a positive light to everyone that knows him. It is a pleasure to work with Leo and it’s great to be able to call him a friend of mine.

I met Mr.Vaughns in the early nineties as my teacher, he is a very positive person and always wants his students and all kids to try their best and to be a better person than you were the day before, to benefit society than be a burden on it. I’m proud to say he was my teacher and that my 4 daughters had him as a teacher as well!!! He will always be Mr.Kirkpatrick!!

Mr. Vaughns (lovingly known by his close friends as "Leo" is a man of great character and passion for helping out anyone who is in need. Leo constantly searches out ways to help others, family, friends, co-workers and/or students. He leads by example. He is truly a man of his word. Excellent teacher both in and outside of the classroom.
The only way to thoroughly give this man the credit he deserves would require an individual to spend a week walking in his environment.

There is so much to say about Mr. Vaughns, I have known him since I began with KMS 14 years ago. He leads a group of teachers every morning in prayer, asking for blessing not only for the teachers, but our student body, our neighborhood and community. He truly is a man of God. I don't think I have ever seen or meet a more selfless man in my life. I don't know how he gets it all done. I can also truly say that I have absolutely never seen him in any other way than joyish and happy. He spreads that happiness and joy everywhere he goes. His current students and former students are ALL his children, they all call him Pops and he remembers each and everyone. He has actually taught several generations of students, Grandparents, parents and now their children. All I know for sure is that when Mr. Vaughns enters ANYONE'S life they are truly changed for the better, loved and enriched by his presence and love.
Mr. Vaughns was and is the best teacher out there! He is a former teacher and now a great mentor since I am now a teacher myself. Like I always said, "I've learned from the best!" He has helped me craft my own way of teaching as he has always said to be yourself and love all of your students. He is certainly one wise man, and there will NEVER be anyone like Mr. Vaughns.
