Gary Cobb was nominated by an anonymous colleague.

Mr. Cobb is an unsung hero. He's the one they call for "cleanups" - the kind that need a little bag of stuff to sprinkle over the mess. He not only works to keep his school clean and rescue teachers from cleanups, but he also gets to know the students he sees every day and tries to encourage them. When kids are having a bad day, he has a smile and a kind word. He also has high expectations for good behavior and teaches kids to clean up after themselves. When he visits ball games, he encourages every child he knows and talks to them later about the game.

"Gary Cobb is a LifeChanger because he cares for students while he works to keep the building clean," said his nominator.

Mr. Gary is an awesome janitor and a great influence on our kids. He always has a kind word for them! If they are not following the rules he reminds them of what they need to be doing which helps us out. Gary is always there when we need him which is a blessing to us!

Gary Cobb is truly an amazing man. He goes above and beyond for his school and for the kids there. Gary also stays after hours and does extra things around the school to ensure the kids have a safe and clean school and environment to be at. He loves South Pontotoc School and the people there with everything he has. He also goes to every sporting event he can to cheer on all of kids to do their best. He is the best and deserves this more than anyone.
