Rosemary Klish was nominated by her colleague, Heather Schmidt.

"Mrs. Klish works countless hours helping our students," Schmidt said. "She is very active in getting them help to meet their needs. She works on getting them holiday assistance so they can have a Christmas by calling, organizing, shopping, and delivering gifts to the families. Mrs. Klish raised money from the community so students who earned student of the month could have a special treat by going out to lunch for pizza. A lot of these students do not get to eat out. She also organizes the food backpacks for students so they have something to eat on the weekends. Additionally, she works with different organizations to get coats and gloves for students at the beginning of winter. Finally, she makes sure students have school supplies at the beginning of the year."

Mrs. Klish has an enormous heart for Kennedy students, and a passion for ensuring each of our students have a trusted adult they can turn to at school. Mrs. Klish works hard to get to know our students and families, to ensure all students have a voice at school and all parents trust their child is supported and cared for while at school. Mrs. Klish is always available to assist staff any way needed. She was born to be a school counselor and work with students who need an advocate in school and in life.

Mrs. Klish goes out of her way to find resources to help our students and their families. She even helps past families find the help they need. She is constantly seeking new trainings and materials to help us meet the needs of our students. Thank you for all that you do.
