LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Cecilia Caldwell was nominated by her colleague, Bob Williams.

Mrs. Caldwell is a first grade teacher who used remote learning to continue helping her students to love school. She posted her students' artwork from lessons taught over Zoom meetings. She prepared collages with pictures of her students doing all kinds of activities around the house, including gardening. In math, she used white boards to teach concepts and check understanding by asking her students to solve problems while she did the work on the white board. Her students were also able to complete portfolios in Class Dojo. Amazing things were happening in Mrs. Caldwell's first grade classroom, even though the students were safely at home and learning over the internet.
