Marcella Judkins was nominated by her principal, Georgia Serves.

Ms. Judkins is the first person people meet when they walk into the school. She is always smiling and spreading joy to everyone around her. She has a calm disposition and will always warm your heart. Many of her school's students do not have a caring adult in the lives, so Ms. Judkins often acts as a mother or grandmother. She builds relationships with them and helps connects them to community partnerships. She stays late, comes in early, gives up her lunch, and hardly goes outside because she cares so much about the students. Ms. Judkins is actively involved in student success and takes her job very seriously.

"She shares her own experiences of overcoming obstacles in order to support students on their journey. She is a hope builder and a healer," Serves said.
