Ginger Burris was nominated by an anonymous colleague.
Mrs. Burris is a phenomenal teacher. She puts her heart and soul in to touching the lives of every student, not only the ones in her classroom. She gets involved! Mrs. Burris has a welcoming smile and a contagious sense of humor. Her students and colleagues always come to her for a good laugh. She takes learning to a new level by teaching kids real-life skills while learning about what interests them. She is not afraid to break out in dance or try to rap a song to get everyone learning and the kids intrigued.
"Ginger is always able to connect with everyone, especially her students, and I feel this goes a long way in today's world," said her nominator. "They all come to school and know that Mama Ging is here for them, no matter what!"
