Brent Kaufman's nominator would like to remain anonymous.
Mr. Kaufman has been in Yukon for over 10 years. He was a math teacher for several years teaching sixth and seventh graders. He coached girls basketball before becoming athletic director at the middle school. Mr. Kaufman is president of the middle school conference and keeps things running smoothly.
This past school year was a little rough on Mr. Kaufman. In late 2019, he was diagnosed with cancer and had surgery. He started chemotherapy in early 2020, but it did not slow him down very much. He cares deeply for his school, his colleagues, and the students that come through his door. He puts a lot of time and effort into everything he does.
