Music that Describes Anna

Anna Dunn was nominated by her colleague, Nicole Jacobs.

"Anna is an advocate of the arts and for DeKalb School of the Arts," said Jacobs. "She is our community liaison, working on grants, connections, and opportunities for all of our students. She has been instrumental in leading our school on its successful journey and accomplishments. Her passion for the arts includes creating opportunities for the students, as well as teaching ballet and dance. She is demanding, and great work comes from her students. She has a big heart and goes above and beyond. Every day after school, Anna can be found in the dance studio working with the students into the night."

Anna really made a difference this year in our lives. She went above and beyond to make sure that virtual school worked well for her students. We received treats and postcards, classes were organized and cameras were ON. When class times were too short for a full dance class, she organized "after school" virtual dance almost every day of the week. Performance opportunities were offered again and again! Thank you Ms Dunn!
