"Sari is a special education teacher," said Vance. "Doing completely distant learning has been a struggle for both parents and teachers. If my son leaves her class, she calls to make sure he’s ok. She wants all of her students to succeed and cares about them, even after they are no longer her students. She deserves to get an award, even if it's Teacher of the Year at her school. Sari deserves to be recognized."
