LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Michele Albright was nominated by her colleague, Donna Katafias.

Ms. Albright is a LifeChanger because she is always thinking about others before herself.  She retired after 30+ years of teaching and was recently rehired by her school district in order to save money due to the loss of funding at the state level.  The COVID-19 pandemic really hurt her school district, but Ms. Albright stepped up and took a pay cut in order to help the district save some money.  

Ms. Albright is not only an outstanding school teacher, but an outstanding leader in the extracurricular activities she is involved with at the middle school.  She is the Student Council moderator as well as the eighth grade girls' basketball coach.  She is energetic and passionate about being a positive role model for the students, as well as the teachers and staff. Ms. Albright can motivate students who do not want to do anything in the classroom or out on the gym floor.  She encourages the other teachers to reach their potential in their school roles. She is always thinking about what is best for the students while not compromising her standards inside and outside the classroom. 

Ms. Albright is a role model for all Woodmore community members, not just those in the the school building.  She is always looking for projects to do with the students in order to raise their awareness about giving back to the community members who need it most. She exemplifies what it means to be a LifeChanger.
