Megan Bledsoe was nominated by the Washington School Counselor Association.

Ms. Bledsoe was named the Washington School Counselor of the Year and one of five finalists for the 2021 National School Counselor of the Year award. Her impact on her school has been great. Ms. Bledsoe developed and continues to facilitate the Discovery Ambassador Program. It's a program devoted to the needs of the school's transient population. It provides each new student with a peer guide who helps them transition into their new school, giving leadership opportunities to current students and helping to foster a school-wide sense of community. Her colleagues, community, and students are better off because of her!
