Rosemary Aschoff was nominated by her colleague, Teshia Dula.
Ms. Aschoff has been in education for over 25 years and has made a difference in the lives of children. She has a positive, nurturing, and soft-spoken personality that adds to her school's atmosphere. She adheres to high moral and ethical standards and leads with grace. Ms. Aschoff is a servant leader in her school and has been the lead counselor for over 15 years. She has an excellent record of performance and continues to provide developmentally appropriate and comprehensive counseling services to students.
In addition to performing her job at an exemplary level, Ms. Aschoff demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to her school community, as well as to important stakeholders. Ms. Aschoff provides exceptional support and service to students and staff. She quickly discerns individual needs and moves efficiently to provide support. During this unprecedented time of COVID-19, she has found resources for families and helped support the collection of food and clothes for children in need.
Ms. Aschoff is the kind of person who takes the time to make all students feel special! She epitomizes servant leadership and inspires others to give back and pay it forward. She is helpful, caring, resourceful, and happy to offer service, no matter the task. Ms. Aschoff often goes above and beyond. A recent retiree, who worked with Ms. Aschoff for over 15 years, mentioned that she is a fantastic teammate and is always willing to lend a helping hand.
"Personally, before I began working at the school, I was a parent in the community and a counselor at a different school," said Dula. "Rosemary was the sixth grade counselor to my children, and she helped my husband and I when we reached out in need of support. Rosemary has made a difference at Hull Middle School. She has positively influenced the people in our school and community. Her leadership, skills, knowledge, willingness to help others, and dedication to our school and the community make her one of our LifeChangers."
