Janey Robinson was nominated by a colleague, Nancy Kimball.

"Mrs. Robinson worked for many years as an instructional assistant, helping kids learn to read before she became head secretary," Kimball said. "To list all of the demands of her job would not fit in this nomination!  She handles teacher requests, PO's, copy machine jams, moving paper from the main copy room to the secondary one, record keeping, sorting out supplies, supporting our principal and vice-principal, and tracking down people who fill out forms wrong, all while being a wife, mother, and grandmother! Wow! She lost her daughter three years ago in a car accident, which was extremely hard.  When my son died a few months after her daughter, she came to his funeral. Even outside the school day, she supports, cares, and is there! She is retiring this year and she will be sorely missed! We could not do our job without Janey doing hers!"

Janey has been a huge inspiration to me. I always try and think "What would Janey do?" and love her poster "You'll never regret doing the right thing". She gives great advice when I ask for it. I'm really going to miss that! I'm really going to miss you Janey!

Janey has always been so incredibly helpful. She seems to know everything and has been my "go to" person for years. She has a great sense of humor and enjoys listening to a good story. Yacolt Primary will truly miss her and the school won't be the same without her. Thank you for all your many years of service Janey!

Janey ALWAYS has a big smile on her face that is welcoming to all who enter the school! She is always willing to help and go out of her way to find answers to any and all questions that I have had for her. Enjoy your retirement, you deserve it! Best wishes on your next adventure!
