Crystal Armijo was nominated by her colleague, Katherine Trujillo.

Ms. Armijo is a great support to the students and families of the Barcelona community. She makes a beneficial difference in the lives of her school, community, students and families. She is a great addition to the school culture and always tries to add to staff morale in positive ways. Ms. Armijo is recognized as a leader in the counseling profession within her school district and was recently awarded the Achieved grant, which will help her build the Student Mediators club and Project Unity Day.

"Our school is a bully free school," Trujillo said. "Ms. Armijo is not only a part of our school wide attendance team, which promotes the importance of school opportunities, but she also promotes the home and school connection and its importance to our students' success. She keeps a professional environment and acts professionally at all times."
