LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Lisa Weaver's nominator would like to remain anonymous.

Mrs. Weaver is the epitome of a great educator. Whether she's in a regular classroom, providing EIP remedial services, or serving in the Media Center, her education philosophy revolves around one word: relationships. Her uncanny ability to build relationships with her students allows her to educate all students. Her students love and respect her because they know she loves and respect them.

After a 13-year career in the classroom, Mrs. Weaver moved into the Media Center at her school. Although it felt different to not be in the classroom on a regular basis, she used her passion for reading as an additional way to help her students grow and develop a passion for reading, as well. She completely transformed her Media Center, putting her own "wacky" touch on it to create an exciting and welcoming environment for the students to gather and gain the same passion for reading that she shares.

In addition to loving her students and helping them grow, Mrs. Weaver is an amazing asset to the staff at Temple Elementary School. She selflessly makes herself available to administration and teachers to provide instructional technology support. She serves as the school webmaster and social media coordinator, where she works tirelessly to communicate important information to community stakeholders.
