Mr. Summey is the best of what the teaching profession has to offer. He is passionate about history, so his students become passionate about it, as well. He's the first person in the department who kids trust, and he is well-loved by his colleagues and students' parents. Mr. Summey has a unique knack of reading people, so he can easily tailor his teaching to the individual needs of his students. He's also a great mentor to new teachers and student teachers. He firmly believes that learning should not be kept inside the limiting walls of a school building, so he leads a trip to foreign lands every other year. His love of learning breeds a love of learning in everyone he comes in contact with. He truly is a LifeChanger!
