Music that Describes Angela

Angela Schnur was nominated by her principal, Carrie Morgan-Davis.

"Mrs. Schnur is a guidance counselor at both my school, McQuistion Elementary, and Connoquenessing Elementary School, explains Morgan-Davis. "In this role, Mrs. Schnur's not only a sounding board for the students, but their champion.  From making sure that every family is supported, both in and outside of school, to making sure that our students have a toolkit for success in the classroom, Mrs. Schnur works tirelessly every day."

Every year, Mrs. Schnur connects with community partners and agencies to make sure that every student receives something from Santa if the family is unable to provide gifts, including clothes and a toy. Furthermore, she helps families coordinate with outside agencies to keep kids from going hungry, not having medical care, and not having the basic necessities of life.

"Additionally, Mrs. Schnur is an active member of the Butler Community.  She can be found supporting our kids at Little League games and at any activity in need of volunteer help.  She has a difficult time saying no, and we love her for it," said Morgan-Davis.

Angie loves and cares for all of her students as if they were her own children. She has such a big heart and she works so hard to make sure every child feels important, heard, and loved. She is an inspiration to many people, including myself. I am incredibly grateful to know her and work with such a beautiful soul.

Angie is one of the most compassionate, caring and hardworking individuals I know. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field and full of resources. She goes above and beyond to help her students and staff have what they need to get through the day. No matter how busy she is she makes the time to help in any situation that she is needed. I have seen her here after hours making phone calls connecting with parents and outside agencies. We are very fortunate to have such a caring and loving person at McQuistion and I feel very fortunate and lucky to work with her at McQuistion.
