LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Jayme Leonelli was nominated by Melissa Faurot, a parent of a student.

"Ms. Leonelli is a teacher I wish all teachers could be," Faurot said. "My daughter loves her, and Ms. Leonelli loves all her students.  She is fair, but she challenges the students so they can reach their full potential.  She has been teaching since 1984, and she gets to know each and every student so she can help them succeed. Ms. Leonelli emails parents every day to let them know what the children learned that day and what their homework is.  She always calls if there is a concern about a student.  She'll also send emails just to tell you how great your son or daughter is doing. The biggest reason why I'm nominating her is because my daughter has thrived and flourished while being in her class.  My daughter is happy and loves school, and that is priceless.  I can never thank Ms. Leonelli enough for everything she does for her students."
