Sunta Harris was nominated by one of her students.

"Ms. Harris taught me the real meaning of laws. When I go into the real world, I have the right to tell and show how I feel. I will always remember that. Law class is really important and actually fun. We had so many debates and talks. We all knew each other to talk about our world, where we came from, and how this generation is way different from others," said her student.

Ms. Harris is actually one of the best teachers I’ve ever had, this is my first year at wise and to be honest she’s apart of the reason I like coming to school. I would never miss her class, the hour and 40 minutes that I sit in her classroom is all too short. I genuinely am grateful to have ms. Harris as a teacher.

I am so excited to see Ms. Harris being nominated for this award. I have had the opportunity to meet Ms. Harris while I was a student at Wilberforce University and she was a staff member on campus. Ms. Harris was a mentor and coach to many of students, and continues to be to this day. Over the years our friendship have grown to working alongside our alma mater athletics department, where Ms. Harris leads many events, ideas, and continues to be a mentor/big sister to many student athletes over the years. Her love for students, their development and growth is unmatched by anyone else. Ms. Harris is so deserving of this award and I am glad to call once call her a mentor/big sister to now close friend. Keep Achieving In Every Field of Human Endeavor.

Oh, and let’s note that she definitely turned those English test scores around at Richard Wright! Kudos to you for your work and to your students for giving you your flowers while you live! Love you!
