Since Jennifer was a little girl, she’s had a heart for helping others. She always knew she wanted to be a teacher & it’s truly her passion. Making a difference in children’s lives by being attentive to their individual needs fills her cup. She’s a wonderful mother who adores her daughters & their family dog. As her aunt, I’m very proud of her for the amazing person she is.
Jennifer is truly in education for all the right reasons. Her number one priority, besides her 2 beautiful daughters, is her students. Each and every student is "her baby". She works so hard to make sure they all not only get the best education, but know they are safe and loved.
Jennifer has a heart of gold! She cares so much for anyone she comes across. We met Jennifer through club volleyball. I seen how dedicated she is as an edcutor first hand. Grading papers and helping kids out between practices. She became more than a friend but a family member to us. Her bubbly personality always brings a smile to anyone who meets her.
I have been blessed to work with Jennifer Garrett this school year. She works hard to build amazing relationships with students and continuously holds them accountable to high expectations for success. I know she is a wonderful mother because it shows in the classroom, as well. Her students know she cares about them and work hard to please her. Jennifer is very deserving of any recognition she receives for the amount of effort she pours into her work as an educator.
I have had the pleasure of working with Ms. Garrett this year as her music teacher. When her class comes to see me or when I go in her room I get a sense of community that I don't always feel in all the classes I see. I see her at the core of that community because she makes the effort to let each of her kids know she cares about them on a deep level.
I have known Jennifer since childhood, she has always been a happy and giving person. When faced with adversity she not only triumphs but she faces it with strength and courage. She is an amazing mother. Definitely deserving of this award
Jennifer is such a wonderful teacher and one which kids are in desperate need for today. She asks to take on the hardest of students to ensure they have a loving person in their life that will shoot them straight and keep expectations for them at the highest point possible. She is a role model to kids every single day she comes to work. Jennifer is also a fantastic colleague and helps other teachers to be better everyday.
When we were learning about science,I never understood it until she became my teacher. She explained everything so well and never got impatient with me. Mrs. Garrett is my favorite teacher of all time I call her my “school momma”. I love her she’s the best, I hope she gets this award she deserves it so much!!
Mrs.Garrett is one of the best reading teachers i’ve ever had. She treats every student like they are her personal kid and makes sure that all of her students are taken care of. I really wish I could have her as a teacher again and I know she deserves to win this award

As the school nurse working with Mrs. Garrett, I am thrilled to see her being nominated! As I have watched her by drop in visits to pick up kids, or discuss issues regarding her students, I have been given the opportunity to observe her in action. She has a true heart of nurturing her students and building them up in their unique and individual strengths. She helps to motivate them above the challenges of new and intimidating materials to make learning fun. She is always an encourager.
Jennifer’s heart for all kids is incredible. She sets high expectations and loves her students immensely.

Jennifer was the best teacher I could ask for! She went above and beyond for me and my family.. always, like we were her own! When I think back about school in general I remember elementary school and it being the best years of my life, even when she wasn’t my teacher, she was always there for me.

Before I got Ms.Garrett as a reading teacher I had always just been good at reading, I never really learned anything with my previous teachers, so when I got her I thought it was just going to be the same thing. But it was not the same thing. Ms. Garrett shared the same love of reading that I did and I realized that the second I met her. With her I got to better my reading skills and I was able to really comprehend what I was learning because with other teachers I struggled to understand what they were teaching me.
I could always tell that she loves us like we were her own children and she always tried to be there for us when we needed her.
