Jan Henson was nominated by her colleague, Brenda Doss.
Ms. Henson is a loving, giving individual. She gives to her students, animals, and anyone in need. Ms. Henson will sacrifice time and money to help others. Her husband says she spends all her money giving back to her classroom, school, and community. Ms. Henson will lend an ear to anyone who needs someone to share and care for them. In her classroom, you can usually find different pets she keeps for her students to care for and learn about. Ms. Henson will stay after school to care for these pets. She is a big animal lover, and she loves to cultivate this love in her students. She could've retired already, but she keeps going for the love of her students and others who urge her to keep teaching.
