Amanda Farhi was nominated by her friend, TeshaLynn Murphy.

"I've known Amanda since high school; we were both in the class of 2011 attending Kapolei High," said Murphy. "She produces a nurturing atmosphere. Her heart is so big and pure that it melts the hardship of our daily lives away because she fills all darkness with her light."

"Amanda has always had a drive and passion for filling the cups of the younger generation. Since she moved from Hawaii to pursue her teaching career, I know wholeheartedly she goes over and beyond to make sure her students, parents, and colleagues know the importance of putting the kids first. When the pandemic hit, I can only imagine the strain it put on Amanda. She enjoys connecting with her students, allowing her to fully invest herself in the children to ensure each student is heard, appreciated, and learning in a way where they can thrive. Amanda is not one to cut corners to achieve the results. She trusts the process and gives it everything she has," said Murphy.

"I would love for Mrs. Farhi to be recognized because her heart and passion for the younger generation are one in a million. Knowing the strain being a teacher can put on each individual, this nomination is a reminder that her hard work is not going unseen," said Murphy.
