Jackie Chladek was nominated by her principal, Clark Olstad.
Mrs. Chladek is a fantastic paraprofessional who is passionate about the education profession. She shows up to work daily with a smile and is ready to work. Mrs. Chladek constantly helps all the teachers and works with many students. She is also the 7-8 Jr. High media specialist who oversees the entire library.
Another area that Mrs. Chladek excels at is her willingness to take on other tasks.
"When I ask her to do an additional task, I'll say, 'Jackie, I have another promotion I would like you to consider.' Jackie always smiles and says, 'Yes, I would love to help,'" said Olstad.
Mrs. Chladek is also an outstanding family person. She is married and has three wonderful daughters.
"There is no greater compliment I can give a person than to say Jackie is an incredible parent," said Olstad. "It is very obvious Jackie is in the right profession of working with students in a school setting. You can regularly witness Jackie walking down the hallways with a smile on her face and making positive, fun comments to a variety of students."
Olstad recalled a quote from Mark Twain that reminded him of Mrs. Chladek. "The best way to cheer yourself is to try to cheer someone else up."
"This quote is exactly what Mrs. Chladek represents every day at school. Jackie's fun and smiley personality is contagious, and just talking briefly with Jackie makes other staff members and students feel happier! She is, and will continue to be, a LifeChanger to many students and families at Plainview-Elgin-Millville Community Schools," Olstad said.
