Tiffany Cox was nominated by an anonymous student.

"I was on the verge of dropping out because things were just too hard for me. Then, I met Dr. Cox at orientation last year as I was moving to a new school again," said the student. "She was nice and welcoming, something I had not experienced before. I had never been a part of any clubs, and she was promoting band. She made me and my aunt feel welcomed, so we joined. Once again, I took pleasure in wanting to be in school and do my work so I could continue to be part of the band—something she made fun. Being in the band also brought my mom closer to me, and Dr. Cox got her to participate in the band as a parent. She is always there for the band and I. Without her, many students like myself would not be on track to or even graduate."
