Eric Quaranti was nominated by Tomer Dicturel, the parent of a student.

"Eric Quaranti is a true life-changing teacher and coach. His coaching has changed my son's life and touched my entire family," said Dicturel. "Coach Quaranti - or Coach Q, as he is known to the rest of us - is constantly working around the clock with Tenafly's elementary, middle, and high school kids. He has dedicated years of his life to encouraging, guiding, and empowering students. He taught them that anything is possible with enough work and that we can improve the world by harnessing our talents."

Whether he's in the classroom or out on the field, Coach Quaranti has always been the type of person who helps others reach their full potential. He goes above and beyond, making himself available for teens and parents around the clock and on weekends, holidays, and vacations.

"My family will always be grateful to Coach Quaranti for his unending support," said Dicturel.

Coach Q has not only built from scratch an excellent Lacrosse program in Tenafly but has created a community and following that supports the team. My son has participated in school gym classes, lacrosse clinics, high school lacrosse and basketball with Coach and has always found him to be a great motivator, teacher, listener, and positive influence. As a parent, Coach Q is always approachable and happy to discuss the program and how my child can be a better player. We look forward to the next season.

Coach Q is passionate dedicated educator who support his students in and out of school. Small example, his kids were playing travel club tournament on a Sunday. He was on the field cheering abs watching them on his day off. And this is not a single example. You can see him all summer long traveling to see his kids playing various clubs on weekends. His whole family is amazing and they all know the players well and come to cheer for them every game. I can always text or call him. He is a true gem for lacrosse varsity team and tenafly HS community. We need more educators like him who are dedicated to kids and take active interest in their lives.

I have Eric Quaranti to thank for introducing my three children to lacrosse and all the life lessons that come with it. They have greatly benefited from utilizing leadership and teamwork skills, developing the required work ethic, and improving their confidence and health while participating in his Tenafly lacrosse programs. Last weekend in his own free time, he traveled over an hour to watch and encourage my son and a few other Tenafly student athletes participate in an offseason lacrosse tournament. Eric Quaranti is a positive influence and role model for my children. He is a great asset to the Tenafly community as an educator and coach.

Coach Q has had a greater impact on the young men he teaches and coaches off the field then he has on the field or in the classroom, which is a true sign of a coach and a leader. His dedication to his players and his program truly stands out.

Coach Q has really blown me away with his dedication and commitment to the kids. My son is a freshman and has a strong passion for lacrosse. Coach Q has not only gone out of his way to get to know him and the other kids; he inspires them and teaches them determination and sportsmanship. Even though Jared is not yet playing for Coach Q, he has unbelievably and voluntarily shown up at many of his 9pm and rainy-day games to show his support. Coach Q has also created an environment of inclusiveness and generosity among the kids who are lucky enough to play for him. They have embraced the freshman class and help build moral, work ethic and focus. His involvement both on and off the field has made a huge impact in Jared's excitement to play for and work hard for Tenafly High School sports as well as continue to excel academically. In a sea of fantastic teachers and coaches, Coach Q definitely stands out and deserves this award

I played for Coach Q nearly 10 years ago, and without (specifically) him I would not be in the position/as successful as I am today. Coach Q helped me both on and off the field - I was a first year player not knowing what was was doing, but willing to give it my ALL for Q. More importantly, I played lacrosse on terms of improving my grades. Coach Q helped me wherever he could and motivated me to excel in the classroom! I have since returned to coach under him at Tenafly, and he gives more than 100% to the family and community he built at Tenafly High. In my opinion, there is no one more deserving of this honor than Eric.

I don't know anyone who's more dedicated to the growth of lacrosse in his community than Coach Q is. I have witnessed his rise as boys head varsity lacrosse coach since the inception of the program. I have witnessed the youth program grow year after year through his hard work and long hours. His passion is infectious and has rubbed off on the community. My family considers him family more than any other teacher or coach at THS. He has changed the lives of countless athletes under his tutelage, and will continue to do so for many years to come. I don't know anyone who is more deserving of this award.
