Jackie Lawson received multiple nominations from friends and family. The following profile contains text from each nomination:
Ms. Lawson is a go-to person in school or in the community when someone needs some nurturing. She gives attention and care to everyone, whether it’s the children at school or people in the community. She volunteers at many places, including Hope Food Pantry, Denton County Friends of the Family, and women's shelters. She’s active in her church by singing in the choir and serving as the new member orientation chair.
Her favorite passion is preparing food for people, especially those living on the street or in motels. She and her husband have a catering service and both often times prepare food for those in need or those who have lost loved ones free of charge. She simply has a heart that is always looking to give and love others.
“We graduated from high school together,” said Tracy Gilbert, a friend. “She actually organizes and connects with our class of Sherman High School 1984 via Facebook whenever there is a death in our class. She attends and/or sends flowers, which is a priceless connection to home and classmates.”
On top of all that she does for her district, Ms. Lawson helps neighboring school districts with fundraisers like LEF. She also created an annual fundraiser titled The Sassernation Foundation INC. where all proceeds are given in scholarships for those that need help the most.
In her free time, you will find her supporting her husband, children and grandchildren, or cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and Mizzou while eating her favorite food: crab legs with extra butter sauce!

I cannot think of a more appropriate award to describe Ms. Jackie-LifeChanger! She is always pleasant when we call or visit Evers Park Elementary School. She is one of those people that excudes joy. She takes a sincere interest in others and is very kind and supportive of our Foster Grandparent volunteers. Congratulations Ms. Jackie on this wonderful nomination!
Mrs. Jackie is always so kind and welcoming whenever i walk in through the door! She always has a smile on her face for anyone and everyone! Ever since starting my work study at Evers Park, she’s made me feel so welcomed!

Mrs. Lawson is an outstanding advocate for teachers and students alike. She radiates positivity and joy, and she makes the front office an enjoyable environment. She adds so much to our school and our staff as she tries to make each day a little brighter. Mrs. Lawson is a changemaker in so many ways. We are all so much better for having her in our lives. Thank you, Mrs. Lawson, for being awesome in so many ways! We love you!
Mrs. Lawson is not only an amazing administrator but an amazing individual. She is the first person we see when we enter Evers Park Elementary and the last person that we see when we leave. She shares her smile with all the students and the students love and imitate her enchanting and contagious positive personality. She shares her love with all by helping the faculty and students through her "little ways" of doing things: fundraising, cooking and sharing her arts and crafts. For example, she will cook something when we need a pick me up. She helps the parents by listening and trying to help them with their concerns. She is so understanding and patient with our parents that struggle to get here on time for pickup and arrival. She is very resourceful; she knows who can help and as a team thing get done! Her positive attitude and energy are life changing for those of us that have the pleasure of being around Mrs. Lawson, she is a treasure and very deserving of this recognition.
What an honor to be nominated and recognized for such a prestigious award. Jackie is a wonderful asset to our community and our district, we're very fortunate to have her. I couldn't think of someone who is more deserving of this distinct award.

Jackie is a hard working beautiful person. She is a great fund rasier, a very good cook, community worker, and very active with friends, church and family. Her works and encouragement of people is very well noticed in our community. I would love to nominate Jackie for life changer of the year award.
