LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Jaleta Miller was nominated by her colleague, Ali Hewer.

Ms. Miller works at a Title I school in the inner city of Memphis, TN. Many of her students come to her unable to identify the letters in their name. She makes use of every minute with her students. She uses flash cards during transitions and in line at the restroom. She truly believes that every child can learn, and she meets them where they are. Not only does she believe in them academically, but she goes beyond the classroom and shows up to cheer them on at their basketball games! She is a LifeChanger in many ways, and she makes a difference in the lives of many students.
