Chris Morris was nominated by his colleague, Laura Ruggless.

"Mr. Morris is my partner. I have worked on the same team with him for three years," said Ruggless. "I have watched him, worked with him, and admire him. Mr. Morris is a strong, quiet teacher who was nominated for Teacher of the Year in our school. He won because of the support of his colleagues. It's not unusual for former students to yell his name and run up to him when they see him walk down the halls. When students look at him, it is clear that he has made a deep impression on their lives."

"Mr. Morris is not a teacher who has to raise his voice. His students respect him and what he says. When asked who their favorite teacher is, it's the strong, quiet teacher that has reached them. His evident love of math and teaching shines through in all he does. Teaching is not just a job but a passion and a career in which he excels. In the few years I have known him, Mr. Morris has been an essential team member for math and our 4th-grade team. I can't imagine our team complete without him. I am proud to call him my colleague, partner, and friend. I nominate Mr. Morris for LifeChanger of the Year for his lasting impact on his students, school, and colleagues," said Ruggless.
