LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Kim Virtudazo was nominated by a colleague, Geraldine Valencia.

Ms. Virtudazo is passionate about bringing the standards and curriculum to life in her classroom. She is known for putting on an excellent Romeo and Juliet play with her students for parents, students, and faculty members to enjoy. She organizes mock job interviews for the entire ninth-grade class of 800 students year after year, allowing them to practice their communication skills while networking with real industry partners. She works with an advisory board of parents, students, and industry partners to support students with curriculum, instruction, assessments, and experiences.

She is committed to continuously improving her practices. Her most recent accomplishment was obtaining her Teaching National Board Certification. Her energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to her students and colleagues are inspirational.
